Everyday it seems like more 360 owners are getting fed up and selling their 360s for ps3s. I am just curious as to how many of you guys are out there to share your experiences with us.
My gf bought me my ps3, I sold my 360 because it was the 4th unit I had, the 3 previous had all died, and, I assume the 4th they sent was just another refurb...
I did, I bought my 360 for $400 with a $50 gift card then I sold it a year later on craigslist with 3 games + 2 controllers for $350. Then bough my 40 GB PS3 for $400 then bought COD4 and Rock Band and Planet Earth. I think I made a very good decision.:D
hey, well i didnt sell my 360, i bought it in summer 2006 and it broke a few weeks later. so i returned it back to argos. I was going to buy the Elite afterwards, but then thought the ps3 was a better option with the blu-ray added on, and wi-fi, free online and GRAN TURISMO, cant wait for dat game. Plus I bought my ps3 for £199 with resistance, it was an online mistake by the retailer. so im chhuffed...........:)
I did but only because I had too. My first 360 died suddenly and I had to sell that one to buy a new one. My second 360 was showing signs of the same problems and with each update that came out my system got worse and worse so I sold it and got a PS3 but I only got a PS3 for the Bluray player and MGS4. oh and home.
My 360 died and i figured i'd had enough of that so i got a ps3, but i screwed up and settled for the 40 gig that can only play the half a dozen or so ps3 games out now. i wish they'd throw the bc software with the next update. i kinda wish i had shelled out the extra money for a 360 elite or an 80 gig ps3 so i'd have something other than unreal to play.
I was about to sell my 360, but since I can only net about 300 bucks for all my crap I decided not to. Also, Mass Effect is my GOTY2007 and lost odyssey will be here in 2 weeks, so I probably shouldn't sell it anyway :)
I sold mine for a gamen PC rig does that count? plus i dont miss out on 360 exclusives, after getting back my 3rd 360 after RRoD i sold it for my PC smart but i kinda miss the games not the console but the games Dead rising and i cant wait for ME to come to PC

if only my 360 didnt get banned from live, i would have definitely kept it. i made the mistake of believing my brother in law when he said modding it was safe. oh well, had seom great times on live :'( now i have a wii because it was cheap, woohoo, just as fun, but i miss the community.

It may, but it won't happen for a year plus. There are about 5 other exclusives keeping me tied to the 360. GTA IV another reason. I want those episodic additions.

I own 2 original xbox at home and they both still being used. Figure I would be a likely candidate to get a 360... Then I look at the exclusive that I want like Huxley (found out it is also on PC) , Marvel MMORG (cancelled).... then I look at ps3 exclusives like Warhawk, MGS4, LBP, Singstar, Resistance and decided to take the plunge and got a 60GB. Since I never owned a ps1 or ps2, it is like having 3 console generations in 1 console. :) Paid $340US

yeah im going to wait to get GTA4 for PC not ps3 maybe rent it but ive always liked GTA games on PC ima miss out on that extra good stuff tho but one thing that has made me happy is Alen Wake im so glad I have a PC now cuz that game WOWs me big time same with Farcry2
Actually, I just did that today. I was pretty hardcore for 360 brfore, but Im not going to lie to you, Resistances 2, free online, and MGS4 look way to good to pass up.
i own a PS3 and a 360. But i buy all the games for the PS3 including the multi-plates because i can't risk investing in the 360(RROD once). i sold most of the 360 games i had. and now im keeping it just for ninja gaiden 2. but after that its getting wrapped up and put on ebay. I have 17 PS3 games now and im loving every bit of it. im a happy Proud Sony Fanboy :D
Yup I did I got tried of wait for a another one and I was feeling like I was getting rip off by MS,and I always wanted a ps3 after see it on E305. BUT that price was to high so I wait for it to come down and paid half the price for it when I sold my 360 with everything a had with it.I was still upset after mass effect came out that was the only game I wanted to play on that system,and was not a halo fan and never will be but fable 2 sounds good but thats about it.The PS3 I got the 60gb and I still play mgs2 and mgs3,kingdom hearts,final fantasy xii,grand turismo4,and many more ps2 games,I also have some ps1 games to I'am also a big MGS fan so I had to get a PS3 and FINAL FANTASY VERSUS XIII will be my top game besides MGS4 and PS HOME looks good to and its free you can't beat that...8)
I got fed up as it was my 3rd new unit within 13 months of owning it and I'm not one to play it everyday. More like every 3-4 days. I hated everytime I switched it on going through, will it work, freeze or Ring of Death.
So once I got it back from being replaced off to go get a PS3 - Dont regret it!!
I'm a fellow Xbox360 owner... But unlike other people, I didn't sell mine because I had problems with it. I had it over a year and it never messed up or froze once.
I sold it to a close friend, and bought a PS3 because I knew the PS3+Blu-Ray would be dominate in 2008, 2009.
It's a great piece of technology, and i'm happy to be a part of it now. Go Sony.
Well I had always wanted a PS3 since they launched, THEN my Xbox got the red ring of death and I called MicroSoft. Some guy from India tells me since I only have ne ring of red death and not the required 3 rings I will have to pay $99.99 to have my Xbox fixed. UH, I don't think so Bill Gates. The system was only a year and 2 months OLD!!!! So I went and got myself a NEW PS3. The PS3 comapred to the 360 is like a BMW compared to a Hyundai.
My girlfriend bought me my PS3 so I didn't need to sell my 360, so currently I own both and boy am I stoked to own both.. Selling one or the other is just foolish. But to each their own.
I had a 360 and it got a failed HDD and 2 months later got the RROD. I then E-bayed the 1 MS sent back to me and switched over to PS3 and own 2 PS3s now. My Brother in law just baught a 40gb PS3 after his 4th 360 RRODd. I believe he also had probs with 1 scratching discs and he had a Halo 3 edition controller that wouldn't work right. I think he's swaying over to PS3 now. He's been such a Xbox fan that it's been difficult for him to switch, but after all these issues I think he's leaning towards leaving Xbox. He comes over all the time and sees how my PS3s never have any issues at all and the games look and run fantastic and the other cool things I do with it like DL and set any theme I want for free from my PS3s browser.
No I intend to keep all my 360s and ps3s. I usually buy multi plats on 360, but i don't know how long that will continue. System link is the best and there are some really good 360 exclusives that I can't give up
me and i'm happy with my decision. I love my FPS but 360 was getting staler by the minute, it got to the point when i forgot how to have fun with a game trying to get all the acheivements. It was fun last year but this year I will only focus on the PS3 and PC with all the awesome games that are coming to them.

YE... the power of the XBOX360 is a garbage! but to admit, XBOX360 is a very fun console BTW.
I sold my 360 a few weeks ago and got a PS3 in its place. I just feel like it'll be the better system in a year. Blu-Ray winning the HD war and fear of the RRoD were the biggest factors. All the games I played/want to play on the 360 are coming out for the PS3, so I won't be missing much. The only thing I miss is sending/receiving voice messages in-game. But that'll change by the end of this year, so then my content transition will be complete.
I think you'll see a lot of people come to this realization in the coming months. The PS3, even the scaled down 40Gb, is just a better value. Integrated Wi-Fi, HD swapping, and Blu-Ray are the biggest sellers. It's hard to argue the logic, and by the time this becomes common knowledge, the 'craigslist' price of 360s will be a lot lower due to diminished demand. I sold now to be ahead of the curve. :)
I sold that crappy system for a ps3. The 360 died on me five times DAMN!!. I got tired of it. In my opinion from having a 360 and a ps3, I have to say the ps3 can do a lot more then the 360.
