i played the demo and was not impressed to be honest. it looks wonderful, the artstyle is brilliant....but thats all that i can say thats good about it really. in terms of controls and gameplay the game just feels sloppy and frustrating. overall id take god o war over it...GOW is just a far better game overall imho.

The demo was a very small portion of the game. The demo didnt really talk about the controls much. Because in the main game you ca n do alot more attacks like range attacks and a strong attack. If you didnt know this already.
I would rent it even though its a good game. You can finish it in the 5 days you get it even though im not done yet.
Im stuck on the last boss of the game. Can you send me a mail or just post on the thread on how to beat him.

Had the same problem with the last boss. You just have to keep try and trying over again until you finnaly beat him. Just try and dodge his moves and get some power shots in. and eventually you will beat him. I beat him, and my health was extremly low at the end.

just rent it. You can beat it in 2 or 3 days, and there isn't much replay value. So, in my opionon, its not worth $60. However, it is a great experience the first time through and everyone with a ps3 should try it.
Heavenly Sword is absolutely amazing. I just finished it for the 6th time today, and I'll probably do another play-through in a week. The length (some would say lack thereof) of the game doesn't affect my enjoyment of this game at all. I own all three consoles and a rediculous amount of games for all three. Heavenly Sword is currently the top-dog of my collection for sheer enjoyment.
To those who have played the demo and did not think much of it: Do yourself a favor and go rent/buy this game. The demo does it no justice whatsoever.

I think Heavenly sword is a great game, and I am not at all regretting my purchase. I still havent beat cause I have way too many other games to play plus on top of a daily thing I do called "life" so I can't devote 7 straight hours of playing. I personally love these type of games, and don't mind playing through them multiple times to perfect them. People who say the game/demo is boring obviously does not know how to play the game.

The game's amazing. Period.
Someone could make a game that's only 30 minutes but it could be the best game experience you've ever had. Length means nothing. (Unless the game sucks, then you can complain.)
Heavenly Sword is by far the BEST game I've played (in the "Beat 'em up" section)
It should of gotten 9.3+... giving it an 8.5 just because of the length is ridiculous.
Graphics were truly amazing
Storyline was incredible, (for those who beat the game) especially with the plot turning point in the middle of the game; it made my face go like :O!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gameplay was to die for. It never got boring. Those infinite number of combos kept it from being tedious.
get it. easily in my top 5 games of all time and to beat the last boss you HAVE to know how to delfect his blasts back at him and when hes flying only use power moves and when hes on the ground use the speed stance and he should be easy
its amazing everyone with a ps3 should get it. im on chapter 5 and the graphics are the greatest so far of all next gen games. so what if its short; ghost recon is short, rainbow 6 vegas is short. they still got 9's. the game rules, the end. don't let the hype about it being soooooooooooo short stop you from at least playing it.

It has plenty as is. Have you gotten all 129 glyphs yet? If so, done it on Hell mode? My first play through took about 7 hours, but I only got like 25/129 glyphs.
Yeah, as some people mentioned, it's possible to play the game without really mastering anything but a straight forward combo. But to get all the glyphs actually takes some skill. And sometimes, some replaying of levels over and over until you've mastered it.
I really am satisfied with the length, and i dunno what people go on about when they say theres no replay value, im STILL trying to get all the Glymphs :\ the graphics are amazing, and so is Andy Serkis :lol; last chapter is one of the most epic. and seeing as theres a trilogy written, i think the lengths fine!
ya Heavenly Sword gives a vibe of God of war and the combat system is trulely awesome once you get the hang of counternig. If it was a 360 exclusive it had recieved a 9 from every site. IGN gave it a 7, which is total BS, these type of half as*ED reviews give people negative impression about ps3 plus I personally think that MS pays all these sites. Xbox has been out for 2 years and it can't even match
MotorStorm LAIR Heavenly Sword Ratchet and Uncharted.... and there are people who still think that 360 is more powerfull.
they just don't want to admit the awesomeness of ps3. I just usually tell people what is good and recommend people buying games, its truely patheitc how Heavenly Sword got scores that a game as trash as Conan deserves.
the key to beating the final boss in Heavenly Sword is learning to reflect his projectiles back at him. it works just like countering an attack, pay attention to the color and use the appropriate stance. just keep away from him so he doesn't melee you and when he starts projectiling you just throw it back in his face. i had a rough time fighting him but when i did this he was much easier. good luck! its a great game!
I just finished Heavenly Sword last night and its simply amazing. I didnt want this game to end and now ill be attacking hell mode and enjoy this great game again
A definite for any ps3 owners collection. This is an awesome game that you can break out at any time and enjoy, also a magnificent showpiece of ps3 power. HS is the best game out this year, and any review less than nine is bogus.

I enjoy the game and it easily has the best presentation a game has ever had (the cinemas, dialogue, and motion capture were stunning) but I still feel it is a rental. If after renting it you think it is the type of game that you'll return to on the harder difficulties go for it.
