I was wondering if it is alright to have the ps3 in a cabinet with the door open. It has a few inches on each side and a few on the top but I can give it more room on the top by moving the shelf. Would the ps3 overheat like this? I have it outside of the cabinet but I would prefer to keep things a little neater if I can.

They had a story over the summer where a PS3 was in 100+ degree heat (farenheit) and did fine.

It requires ventilation like all electronics, but seems to be pretty stout.

I had mine in a cabinet for a while and the only time it overheated was if the door got closed accidently. I had to move the top shelf as far down in the cabinet as possible to have room for the heat to escape and I found that by haveing the console standing vertical it helped a good bit.
