Just got a PS3 yesterday and need suggestions.....

I just got a playstation yesterday and it came with Little Big Planet GOTY, and ModNationRacers... Dont get me wrong both of those games are fun but i need something else. I have a 360 too and i have Black ops, COD 4, and MW2. What are some games I should get?

P.S Friends have said Infamous, Uncharted 2, MGS 4, and M.A.G.

What type of games do you like?

MLB 11 - the Show, Killzone 2&3, Resistance 1&2, Ratchet and Clank series, if you haven't played these the PS3 versions are more enhanced(Bioshock, Oblivion, Ninja Gaiden Sigma 1&2)), God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Valkyria Chronicles, Demon Souls to name a few.

FPS mostly but also 3rd Person Action

Yupe, your friends are right. InFamous, Uncharted 1/2, and MGS4 are must buy (ironically I don't have MGS4 =\).

Other than that, Killzone is an interesting FPS. I suggest you download the demo though, usually it's a hit or miss game for many.

This is as far as my knowledge goes for shooters.

Other games worth getting:

God of War III (hack and slash), Heavenly Sword (hack and slash), Heavy Rain (interactive thriller), Dragon Age series (RPG) and in few days InFamous 2 (action adventure). I'm getting started on Demon's Souls and Valkyria Chronicles (both RPG, uniquely done though) and I'm having a blast with them. You might wanna check them out.

Anyway, just try a demo for any of those games if you want just to be sure you like them. And you could always go to the recommendation thread for more :)
