I know, the graphics are MIND-BOGGLING.

Seriously though, are you playing it on a bus or a train, cause I've never had this problem sitting still. Maybe it's the brightness?

What do you mean by that? How come? Your eyes can't adjust?

I've never had that problem either. I've played in the car once and never again. It was killing me. Sitting still shouldn't be any different from other screens though. Maybe you hold it too close to your eyes...

I get a headache. I was sitting still and I only played it for about a half hour. It was GTA: Liberty Cities. I adjusted the brightness and it still killed me. I think I just may not be used to the small screen or something, or maybe it was too close to my face. Who knows? lol.

I hold the PSP on my lap when I play. Sometimes I hold it closer to my eyes, then I'll get a headache sometimes. Could have been just that moment that you got a headache. You'll get used to it probably....

If it's your first handheld, it coud be the screen size. I suggest playing another game (preferably a casual game) and seeing if you still have trouble. Also, you drive around and crash a lot in GTA games, so it could just be that game in particular.

Could be this too. I've had headaches at times without them being related to anything in particular.

I have an old Gameboy Colour and that never really bothered me. I'm going to go give the PSP another try, I think. Also, how long does it take to charge the thing? And thanks for all your help guys.

This is just an estimate, as I usually play a bit on my PSP while I have it charging, but I'd say maybe 2 hours. I have the 1000 with it's original battery (so it's about 5 years old).

Haha hey I'm about to pick up a PSP! :D

Well I remember playing my Gameboy Advance sitting still on my lap with no problems. BUt once my friend handed me his new DS on the bus, I got a splitting headache after half an hour. Could it be your gaming environment?

If it hurts, don't force it. If you can, buy the component cables and play it on your TV. That'll solve the small screen problem.

I got dizzy several times because of the small screen as well. I'll be buying those soon.

My gaming environment is pretty quiet. I'm thinking it might be the day/night cycle in GTA.

My psp gives me headaches too if I don't have my glasses on. I think it's just having such a small screen so close to your face.

I don`t know how close you guys hold your PSP, but I hold it around my lap, so 2 feet I guess. And if you where glasses, it makes sense you`s get dizzy. I mean, it`s always better to see things clearly.

Where do you buy the component cables and will they work with a PSP 2001?

Using the PSP without glasses or in motion (like in a bus) can give you some dizzyness, it's pretty normal. If not the case, the guys are probably right... its the screen size/brightness you're not used to.
