Just got called a Sony fanboy by gamestop employees and I dont even own a PS3

I was trading in my wii motes +4 games for credit cause I eventually want to get a PS3. One guy asked me what I was going to trade it in for and I answered "Eventually a PS3, I liked what I saw at e3 and Microsoft didnt impress me" then another guy chimed in get a 360 instead...I told him no I want a PS3 because I dont want the hassle of RROD and then all hell broke loose.

That only happens in 12% of the units he claims "well my buddy went through 4 of them so no thanks" then he starts questioning me about where my buddy had it placed ect ect and told me "OH THATS THE PROBLEM THE VENT IS ON THE BOTTOM AND HE HAD IT BLOCKED!"

I told him theres 3 other vents how do u set up the 360 without covering some other vent. Then some fat kid who worked there also looked like he was 17 yelled out OH HES JUST A SONY FAN.

I was like wtf so because I dont want a 360 because of flawed hardware I am a sony fan? I just took my credit and left because the irony was so thick.

Don't listen to them, from what I can tell they're just lemmings. Did the Nintendo conference make you lose hope in them or what?

Ya nintendos conference was disappointing to say the least...dont want more zelda's or marios...and Sony + Microsoft are developing motion control and they have a ton better options for games.

Loved Sony's conferance with the motion control, uncharted 2, assassins creed 2, MAG, and that Go kart game I forget the name of.

thats really none of there buisness what you do with your money and they are employees so you should of asked for the manager for disrepecting there customer

Yeah I never go to Game Stop, at least not the one in my area. Their service is terrible.

i have a 360 and i think they did well in e3 and im looking foward in there games. plus most of those problems dont occur in the newer systems. i like my ps3 as well and sony did have a good e3 as well. nintendo did way better than it did last year. i only have a ds but the wii's titles are starting to look more promising

Im not a fanboy of either microsoft or sony, it just so happens I like what sony offers more than what Microsoft does...I wish my buddy had a ps3 so I can play MW2 with him but he has a RROD 360 atm LOL

Umm the 360 only has one vent on it, which is on the back. I've never seen the other two vents on it...

well my local gs is cool and if they are biased, they don't try to impress it. They care about selling games and catering to people...plus having this one hot mexican chick helps as well...i try to stop by once in awhile

It is pathetic when their sense of self being is confined to a video game console. These are the type of people who would be virgins at 35, living in their mom's basement still obsessing over X Box and Star Wars. While the rest of us are having girlfriends and families, they'll be unlocking "achievements".

Anyways, thankfully my Gamestop has decent employees now. And always agree that the games I pre-order are gonna be sweet. Unfortunately the female employees hardly know anything and are probably just hired to attract customers and enforce the ESRB rating.

Haha, yeah I played the beta and that was hilarious, It probably stirs some wrong conversations during the mission though, lol. Really glad Elena is still in the game and hopefully won't be given a new voice actress or look mid-franchise. I'm still bitter about that whole Kiera thing from the Jak franchise.

Well, I can see it being annoying when having a restricted financial situation. If it directly involved you. You can make suggestions and ask "why", but why be annoyed about it?

The GS employees at the location I go to are actually pretty nice and indifferent to any specific system.

Something similar happened to me at my local EB. I was buying Devil May Cry 4 on PS3 and he told me, "did you know the ps3 version has a 5 gig install? get the 360 version" and i said "no thanks i prefer the controls on ps3 for DMC" and he literally said "you have to buy it on 360, its better" so i left and bought it at Best Buy.
