Just got COD4 any tips to get better?

Coming from pc fps to console fps I utterly suck balls, first 2 maps I went 1-4 and 1-7 LOL...I'm just amazed at how easily im dieing but anyways what are some good tips to help improving my aim? I was thinking of turning down the sensitivity but didnt know yet.

theres nothing anyone can really say , you just got to get used to it and practice

just play and practice, and if you ever use juggernaut you;re automatically a ****

It's really your own fault if you get killed by martyrdom, it;s not too hard to avoid unless you;re prone or get stuck on a wallNuck81

Hearing that noise of the grenade hitting the ground, just before it explodes, must be the most disturbing thing ever, just makes me wanna smash the controller :P

Probably has something to do with the enemys in the single player like some enemies go into last stand and somebody drop grenades, but the way people use it online everybody seem like a bunch of suicide bombers :P

Like playing on a PC, your main focus is to get really good at aiming and killing with different weapons. Always make sure your aimer on the person before you press the the fire button. Also, always try to aim for the chest area. Even if you gotta do it slowly, focus on having the aimer on the body. After a while, you'll get quicker and quicker at getting the aimer on the body and shooting. The second thing you got to do is learn your radar. You should be always looking at your radar until becomes a habit.

well personally there is a difference between martydom and suicide bombing because youre still actually alive and just running up to a guy wit a live grenade in your hand and blowing both of yourselves to hell...marty happens after you die and is just annoying and a waste if you're in a big map...i see no point in it unless you're cheap

I really hate when people say that. Is it my fault if I'm rushed by 2-3 guys and the first guy I kill has martyrdom and I can't sprint away since there's another person trying to kill me? What about if I run from one person's martyrdom, straight into someone else's that died by my teammate. Or maybe if I knife or kill a guy a close range that had stun grenade cooked and it's impossible or me to run away. Face it, it's a ***** perk. Whoever uses it must plan on dying a crap load during a game. Someone who was actually good that doesn't die often would have no use for it

1. Dont Sprint everywhere by doing this your most likely gonna run into someone and they'll shoot you before you can stop.
2. Aim before going round corners normally gives you an edge if someone round the corner hasnt got their sights up also.

thats all i can think of :P

1. only sprint to cover

2. make sure you get the m16 with a red dot scope as fast as you can

3. hiding in the shadows really help as peoplenever notice you

4. always keep moving especially after you kill someone

5. and always go to the hotspot because there is usually a sniper there camping (at these moments i get too excited and miss so its a safer choice to use a grenade or knife)

I find it a necessity to have bandolier as your first perk. If you are on a killing spree you wont have to worry about ammunition, but that's just me:P

Just practice. Try plying some split screen just to learn the maps.

- Always be prepared to fight someone when they come around a corner. And like someone else said, don't run everywhere. You can't see where you're aiming when you're running.

- Knowing starting game spawn points helps a little. For instance, on overgrown the teams spawn near the wooden and brick bridges. You can always expect at least one person to run across that bridge, which is where you should be aiming with a sniper from a place other than the bridge.

- Get to know what weapon type works on each map. Overgrown is sniper, Vacant is SMG, Pipeline is Assault. Shotgun sucks on every map, but if you're going to use it, at least put steady aim on and don't aim down the sight.

- Know the hiding spots on each stage. Generally a higher spot is better. The top roofs on pipeline, the wooden house in overgrown are both good hiding spots but offer a good enough view to get kills.

Shoot anything that moves =)

The only tip I have for you is waste your time on this game. Break off any relationships you are in, and lock yourself in the basement with 2 weeks worth of food, it should improve you on many dynamics for that game. Seriously, what I did was played through the story first which made my aim and control of the weapons good and then I just played online for a long time. Good thing I put that game down, I would of been a hermit now lol. Gangstah-Fresh
