If your going for the platinum the only add on worth it is the tank suit. also play it on easy mode because you receive the same unlockables as if you would beat it on hard because hard mode isnt the hardest difficulty its impossible mode. (tank suit absorbs like 80% the damage)
I have the platinum so its not impossible. But lets just say theres no way in hell i could of done it without the tank suit. i think its like 2.99 so its worth it if you want the plat. but remember what i said first beat the game on easy mode. you upgraded guns also dont transfer after you finish the game so you cant change the difficulty setting. so beat it on easy mode. then ones u beat it play it on impossible mode. also i recommend beating the game on easy mode just with the cutter gun forget the name right now. thats a gold trophy 1 gun i think its called you can look at my trophies if you want. I didnt think it was that tough, unless you tend to get clawed once it takes a huge chunk of your life (RIG). It took me like maybe 2/3 days to get the plat. It's one of my favorite games. But in any case, the Tank suit is the best suit to get if you decide to get it.

If you want to use like, a new game plus (if you will) towards your Impossible mode then no you can't but if you want to play it again in the same easy mode then yes. That goes for all modes though.

You can on your second play through. When you get the military suit (on your second or third play through) save the game right before you fight the last boss. After you beat it and watch the ending it will ask you to save...don't. It will bring you back to the main menu and start a new game on impossible. You will start the game with the military suit, but that's the only thing that will carry over. You could use cheats but at that point they're very unnecessary as the only one that really helps is the refill stasis cheat but there's so many of those stasis chargers all over the ship.

I could of used the stasis code even though there is stasis charges... but man is stasis uour best friend in impossible mode Yeah, but it makes the game really easy and boring. Plus there are a lot of glitches in the game which can help you out. There's this one place where if you leave one of those 5000 credits on the ground, walk away then come back, then it will spawn another one.
Holy cow, I just checked the trophies and you gotta beat the game with the Plasma Cutter, I guess I'm gonna get it in the 2nd playthrough. And also I want to play it during the night so I'm gonna see if it's that scary as they say, I like horror movies. :)

I did that on my first play through without even knowing. The Plasma Cutter is all you need, on any difficulty. There was one other weapon I used on impossible but I forget what it was called. It shot a huge beam and it took awhile to charge but I only used it cause I was in a rush to beat the game.
