just got Madden 08 for PS3

Ill tell you one thing this game is so overrated, i think graphics did improve a little and tackeling system approved too but 30fps just kills it man, you can see differencefrom 30fps to 60fps and ireally dont get if PS3 is more powerful then why cant they play on 60fpsit feels like im playng with bad internet connection, did anyone else bought the game and whats yall reaction to Madden 08?

i think thats why the ps3 version got a 7.7 on ign and a 8.7 for 360. so do u think i should not buy it? $60 is really expensive and i dont want spend that kinda money on a game if it sucks. justifythegame

If you like NFL and your big fan of NFL this is the only game to get forfootball but if you want to have more fun playing it only get All-ProFootball itsway more fun,the fact that i bought this game is because of NFL license and of course my team (Jaguars) and frachise mode and all other features that really puts you in mood of playing this game but 30fps killes it, ill saythat once again

Aside from that, I do not think the 30fps will make that much of a difference, as long as it is consistant. Most football games in the past have been 30 fps so it will feel just like those games.

See in APF i dont think it runs 30fps because mine runs smoother it never froze like it did on Madden i think that was just a rumor. what i ment by "killes it" for 30fps, is when you run the ball it seems like game feeze for less then sec, but its not like that everytime you run the ball its just once in while you cant really tell the difference (but you can notice), thats why xbox 360 got better score becausethey have 60fps,but i dont know if you've played madden 07 its very similar to that it just have more features now,and coolest thing about madden 08 isthat ithas nice INTRO ill give them that the graphics looks awesome on that but gameplay did improve a little on madden 08, if your NFL fan go get this game maybe you will like it better then me, im just telling you my opinion,

Well APF for ps3 is 30 fps. Its in the reviews so its not just a rumor. I played madden 07 (on the ps2)...it sucked balls. Btw your opinions better than any other opinion i can get right now cuz u have this game on ps3, the reviewers dunno what they're talking about sometimes. i'll be honest with you i like APF better the only reason what killesis it has nolicense im playing apf online and its the best game to play online, but if you want to get into NFL action i would get Madden 08 it all depends and what you like more, APF is more realistic with older player but i have both i had to get it because i love football, its all about your taste i have litte bit of both NFL and Legends, so if i were your i'd buy All-Pro football and wait for Madden 08 for prices to drop or go on Ebay and find used one forlower price, its what you like, All-Pro football= Stunning Gameplay, Fun, Legends,Best Sporting Online Gameand Madden 08=NFL license, Franchise, Practice Modes, Dynesay and all other cool features, its your call man

Better than buying a whole new system for that one game. I say if you only have a PS3 and love that game, buy it. If you have PS3 and 360... buy the 360 version.

EVERY Madden before this one was 30 fps... so no, it really doesn't kill it. If you were able to enjoy Madden 07 with it's gross lack of features last year, then you'll love Madden 08 whether on your ps3 or 360, period.

I saw side by side comparisons and watched them play the ps3 version live last night and it looked fine. Not as smooth as 60fps but it wasn't that bad.CRUNK3050

Exactly, it does indeed run smoother on the 360... but ppl that don't have the 360 will never know the difference. The framerate drops at times but it's not nearly as bad as some of the reviews make it sound and it doesn't happen any more often than previous installments. It's really amazing to see ppl make such a big deal out of this now when the only complaint before this installment was the features.

Point blank, this is the best installment of Madden in years people. If you enjoy the game of football, you will enjoy this game.

Seriously, people need to f-ing relax and stop caring so much about minute details. These differences are so small in inconsequential, it is laughable at how big of a stink people make about little things. My buddy owns the NCAA on the 360, and he came over and played it on the PS3 with me, and he said he noticed no difference. You have a few choices... you can either sit there and enjoy what's the best Madden in years regardless if it's not quite as good as the other guys, you can buy a 360 and get the slightly better version, or you can not buy it all. Shouting at the wind does nothing.

As for me, I loved it (picked it up last night). Gameplay is a bit tighter, AI is better (especially in pass coverage), and there are some nice new touches. But the biggest and most impressive thing is how good the animations are. If people would stop worrying about what it ism't and concentrate on what the game is... then it's a very fun game.

i would get it man, because since 05 this game has experienced the most changes and is a very fun game... although i will admit i got the 360 version only becuase it would make no sense not to unless all you got was the ps3... but can you blame me? i really wanted to get the ps3 version and i originally had that one preordered but when i found out that the 360 version was going to run at 60 fps and the ps3 was at 30, i had to make what was the hardest decision of my life... haha jk... but seriously i was so mad that i had to get it for the 360, but oh well. Overall though, if all you have is a ps3 this game is by no means compromised just because of freakin frame rate, i only made the decision i did because it would make no sense in getting the inferior version. But im sure next year will be up to par if not better, as soon as ea gets their stuff together

Oh c'mon na. People complain about weak pass coverage AI, but now that they'll actually pick you off if you throw into double coverage you complain?I guaratee if someone didn't tell you it ran half the framerate that the 360 version most people wouldn't even notice. I notice a few hiccups but it's nothin' worth bringing the game back over. If you like NFL football, buy this game.

lol haha man it's not even like that though. you dont suck hahaha. i was on defense and the CPU was on offense the CPU threw 3 PICKS to my AI which i didnt even take effort controlling thats how sucky it is man. i understand the fumbles is unpredictable but the pics without effort? wow just wow

almost all games run at 30fps, if its looks like its "skipping" then its bc the framerate its dropping below 30fps!

I noticed when I got disconnected from the EA network the frame rate became more stable it seems that the network even when playing single player slows the frame rate down below 30. If right after you snap the ball and the frame rate becomes choppy its the network logout of it.

i like the game overall, and it is better than last year, but the online is almost unplayable!! I got my copy at midnight on the release day, and my brother all the way in kansas did too...so we tried to play eachother online, and it was terrible!! Maybe the network was so overwhelmed by all the people logging on or something??? Anyways I'm gonna go online tonight and try it maybe its better...bruno424

Yeah, EAs servers are overwhelmed now. I used to be able to NCAA 08 online without disconnects, but I tried last night and I didn't even make it into the game. It froze on the loading screen after both players hit START or X to say they're ready.

went to best buy today they have it set up ps3 and 360 on the same table playing madden 08, ps3 version looks very bad.i look up the release date in best buy said that lair release on 8/15 am i mising something?j0n4th4n

naw man, lair should be out in September 14 i think or something like that, and how bad is maddeon 07 on ps3 compare to xbox 360 version.

i think the turnovers are a problem too, but i just go to the AI and turn down interceptions to about 40 and start protecting the ball more.

well im a football fan so I jus bought madden 08 on sum toys r'us deal wit NGS for less than 100 bucks...I just saved 30 bucks on a game...sweet..

I plyed Madden 07...it looks and plays fine..therefore 08 should be just as good if not better...The game mechanics are all the same, if u have both systems obviously go wit 360...but the ps3 version is just as good
