I just got my ps3 yesteday and im lovin it. But i have a few questions... Do demos always take 2-3hours to download? I have a few blu-ray dvds,i have a hdmi cable, and and my tv is a 1080i. I know the 1080p is the best for blu-ray but i am i just getting standard def? And i was wondering if that bowling game in the playstation store is any good? Thanks for any answers!!
Hey man, yah it's normal for demos to take a while to download so don't sweat it and if you have an HDTV and an HDMI cable plugged into your ps3 then you're definitely not getting standard def lol but thats weird how your TV doesnt do 1080p, is it old?

most hdtvs are still 1080i max (specially the smaller ones). mine is. but it still looks great. and it costs considerably less
and the download depends on your connection and speed. im running wireless. and 30 mins is prolly my longest dl time. (1.7gb for 'the club' (i think it was the club))
2-3 hour demo downloads?!? All the demos I've ever downloaded have taken no more that ten minutes.

yea i dont know why mine ae takin so long. i have good internet connection. that rachet game has been dloading for 2 hours now and itsonly half done. im browsing web from ps3 right now...do dloads stop while doing so?
Hmm well it depends on your internet connection. I have cable hooked up to a wireless network but generally i get most demoes downlaoded within 30 minutes. It's quite possible that your connection is a little slower because of high bandwith usage, especially if it's cable where the speed will come to a screeching halt as more people log on. I would reccomend downloading demos a little later in the evening to see if they come faster. Otherwise, enjoy your new system!
Demos vary in size. Some take an hour or so, some don't. I have yet to find a 3 hour demo.

Yeah...what is it with these 2-3 hour download times for demos that some people complain about...?? It takes me 45 minutes to an hour to download a gig and 1/2 demo and that's with a cheap wireless router.
