O.K... Maybe this problem is a little serious. I turned on my ps3, went to settings, set up my wireless connection, went to sign up for playstation network and it said that I had to update my system. I try to update it and it gets stuck on 10% and says "error could not connect to wireless network." Can someone please help me?

try connecting it wired and do the update. I think the location where your Router is, is too far from your PS3.

Unless its more than 75 feet, he should get a good connection. But I still agree with wiring it to do the update then going back and make sure your wi fi settings are correct.

I just got a PS3 3 days ago and updating your system could take up to 1 to 2 hrs.  You get that message was because either the server is busy or your internet connection.

thanks guys, but I am too far from my router to go wired. It just went up to 26% and then stopped me and said the error message once more.

Thanks, I forgot that I could download it from my computer. I just want to make sure there is nothing wrong with my ps3. I guess I have no choice but to get it from my computer.

My connection strength is 47%... not 26. I don't think that's the problem though. I just pray that my ps3 isn't broken!

Get a 25 ft wired RJ-45. They are cheap at best buy. Then, worry about wireless later. First upgrade.

Gayguy???( WTH) Anyway...That is very unusual....I've had my ps3 since 11/17....every update for me took between 20-30 minutes. And that's with a wireless connection.

Thanks everyone. I got it to work in the oddest way. Closed my bedroom door and wireless signal went up by 25%. The update then finished downloading in less than 20 minutes.
