I just Purchased a 42 inch Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD for 1725.00, My main reason for the purchase was FOOTBALL SEASON, College and Pro.
To me it was well worth it, and i worked a little over 40 EXTRA hrs in Overtime, in a 2 month period to afford it, but to each his own i guess....
Im with you on the price drop, most likely coming o HDTV's , but i didnt want to wait
there are some games in 1080p and but i think the biggest reason i got a 1080p tv is so i can watch blu-ray movies in 1080p. i just got 300 and it looks amazing in 1080p.bazookajoe19
Im expecting this in the mail VERY soon, Thanks for the heads up on the 1080p...
I was wondering how many of you bought a 1080p HDTV when you got your PS3 or bought one shortly there after? I almost feel like Im in the minority because my HDTV only does 1080i. I simply cannot justify running out and buying a new HDTV when I have only had mine for 3 years! Also, I think that the prices of HDTV's will go way down by 2009 or 2010 when the whole HD conversion thing happens for Cable TV. Im imagining that the Sony SXRD's, XBR's and Bravias that you all are buying for $1500 or more will all be under $1000 in a year or two!!kungfuchaosI'm about to buy one, but yes, the price will drop dramatically over time.
