I could only ever find a 500gig on the net many months back that go under the 2.5 sata ones. haha yeah...... 500gb is as big as they get, i believe. they are only notebook drives so thats about it. however, a 1TB hard drive would be insane....I would just download every demo off of the ps store and store all my music and photos......
I don't have a external hard drive or flash drive that big though. :(

Well, you can get an enclosure for $20 put the new drive in the enclosure run a backup, then copy the backup to your PC, swap drives in the PS3 and enclosure and put the backup back on the enclosure with the original drive and restore.

I had an option for 500GB version but I honestly couldn't find a reason to have such large amount of space.
Instead I settled for 320GB HDD. :)

I definitely understand this logic. However, given that the 320 was only a few dollars less than the 500, I couldn't find a reason not to spring for the biggest drive possible.
