Buy a seagate 500gb 2.5 inch sata harddrive. make sure it fits those specs, because ps3 uses seagate as well. What brand or which one did you get? I'm researching for one because I might want one.

I'm pretty sure by definition there is no such thing as an original meme.
I don't have a external hard drive or flash drive that big though. :(

Well, you can get an enclosure for $20 put the new drive in the enclosure run a backup, then copy the backup to your PC, swap drives in the PS3 and enclosure and put the backup back on the enclosure with the original drive and restore.

I had an option for 500GB version but I honestly couldn't find a reason to have such large amount of space.
Instead I settled for 320GB HDD. :)
I definitely understand this logic. However, given that the 320 was only a few dollars less than the 500, I couldn't find a reason not to spring for the biggest drive possible.I had an option for 500GB version but I honestly couldn't find a reason to have such large amount of space.
