just sent in my ps3 for repairs questions plz???

for the ppl that have sent their ps3 in have you sent it in without the receipt.it says is mandatory but the agent told me it was ok is just i wont get the rest of my original warranty back only 90days.have any of ya gotten the system repaired successfully without a receipt???
