just started playin mgo

Hey there,

I've just been playing mgo and wondered if someone could enlighten me on a few things, firstly is it better to use auto aim or not I haven't used it in mgs4 but if other people have an adv over me I wanna even it out, also I have a mic but i held select and it said voice coms on but no one answered when I asked if they could hear me do I need to do something to get it working? other people had mic icons but I couldn't hear them talking do people just not talk...

What weapons and skills is everyone using?

I go for a pistol DE if I can afford and the cheap 500 sniper rifle or an AK102 depending on how I want to play any tips on good weps to use, skills I have cqc pisto sniper and runner.

You should train in level 3 knife....so when you get it you can slit peoples throats like nothing....just join a knife only match...stick with your teammates....when you have a knife out enable autoaim so its easier to stab someone.

yah so just stick with the M4 or p90....what ever you like better.

Just hold select at the start of the game, not at the menu where everyone joins, but as soon as you can move around. But most of the time, you'll have almost everyone using the M14, some people using the AK and M4, and depending on the level, the SVD or the DSR. Then you got the *random insult here* who only camp with thier knifes and magazines, and that's pretty much it. I can't tell you what to use, or what skills to use, as I may have a different playing style then you, and you should be able to decide for yourself.CaptainSuperman

I've done the select thing are there any bars to show your talking or anything? thanks for the weapon tips, it's more a case of I'm not too sure about the skills and haven't tried them all I'm just thinking if people know you should use runner because speed is crucial a lot of the time and if you do pair it with *insert skill*

i'm a little disappointed w/ the skill leveling. they don't provide much of an advantage over the lvl 1 versions. only cqc and knife actually give new abilities. i haven't really messed w/ lvl 3 runner but how fast you move doesn't seem to give any advantage on the maps.

i will probably stick w/ the assault rifle, sniper, cqc, and knife skills. My choice will only depend on the mood i'm in and what type of game.

mostly i'll pair lvl 3 rifle/sniper w/ some random thing like quarterback or monomania as well as lvl 3 knife w/ lvl 1 cqc

Im using a lvl 3 Assault and lvl 1 Runner. I found CQC to be quite useless after a while so I removed it from my skills. The M4 is my weapon of choice. If I see many Gay snipers around using either the M14EBR or the SVD I just buy the Scope for the M4 and turn it into a Snp too :D. For short range I use the GSR or the MK 22 depending on how I see the situation, and for the throw I normally stick to grenades, but in other modes I also use the magskenshinhimura16

CQC with any weapon (sub,rifle, sniper) is useless. In TDM, obviously people w/ weapons will get the high scores. but on any map other than Blood Bash (? the small one) cqc'ers and knifers can play roles to assist in a victory, but not actually be the ones get the points to win.

in team sneaking, i find it essential to have cqc and knife skills.

that requires a lot of team work, something that is not noticeable within the players. Ive never used CQC with the big guns, its slow and clunky, I normally pressed R2 to do a quick change to either the preset gun or the Knife but I found it easier just head shooting them before.
