Well there are plenty of Exclusive FPS and racers for the PS3 including, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, Gran Turismo 5 and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift just to name a few im sureToddyTheGunners

But those aren't out yet, I think he wanted to know about games that are already out :P

if you just had 360 I'm guessing you played COD4, GTA4 & Oblivion etc (all good multi-plats)??

then get MGS4, Uncharted(very short but great) & Warhawk .... er...

I never played any of the mgs games. I do love stealth games. One of my favorite games on 360 is splinter cell. how would you compare the 2?Golden_Domer

Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction is pretty good and so is BF: Bad Company.

PS3 doesn't really have as many games as the 360. I guess you could say it's this generation's version of the original Xbox.

i had almoste the same issue, except my 360 just crapped out and didnt get RROD, so they didnt cover it under warrenty. so i traded all my games and baught a ps3. you should check out warhawk if you like online. kreestoph

MGS4 does NOT blow TCSC away. It is superb compared to SC but SC has its own unique style and I have linked splintercell more than MGS but they are different in their own way. MGS4 is better but SC is not a piece of shiet game or series.

I got sick of it so I'm picking up a PS3 at the end of the month and getting 3 games with it. It's a tough choice because I haven't played any of the exclusives on PS3 and don't know which ones would have the best value. Remember Sony announced the greatest hits for 29.99 starting in September:

Warhawk - I'll be getting it* - Loved the original Warhawk... Man that seems like ages ago.

OH... Sony ..... Please put out a new GOOD Twisted Metal for PS3. Don't give us any of that Rob Zombie Twisted Metal either. Give us some of the classic Twisted Metal: 2 gameplay but better or Twisted Metal: Black game play.

I am not a fanboy of any kind, before these consoles I had both ps2, and xbox. I have had my 360 for a few years and really liked it. But, I have had to 3RLOD 4 times. Finally I said enough, and bought a PS 3 yesterday. Has anyone else made the same move I have. My favorite games are fps, racing. What are some must haves. It looks like MGS4 is, what else? I have both but have been swapping my mutiplat games to the PS3 as my 360 crashs all the time and I have had enough.

I would say get Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Resistance, Warhawk for starters.

Yep, I'm on my 8th. I'll put it this way. It's a great system when it works. But so far on average I go through two a year. I take care of my systems also. I use canned air on them to clean them out then wipe off the systems with dust clothes and keep the glass that they sit on clean with windex.

My PS3 is in... lets say glass box so is 95% dust free, I only open the box when i play so it can cool of, clean it with vacum cleaner every month and 3-5 days with dust clothes

Don't worry about it your english is fine. The glass box idea is a good one for when you're not using the systems.

if your saying that your console is enclosed in a glass box, i would take it out. thats gona overheat it. vaccuming the dust is a good idea though. also, air filters help reduce dust all around.

Well it is not defacto in glass box, I just can not explain it in English.... but it wont overheat because after when I put my hand where air is coming out The air is not hot .

In case of emergency there is always big fan which I can point into direction of PS3 . Usually I cool myself with that big fan during summer

Dam u know i never treated my systems with that much respect and care before like it was some prized artifact. never did i think to clean my ps2 or bathe it in a bubblebath, and its been going strong for the past 8 years. I mean i know that the ps3 is better technology, more fragile, and more expensive, but i cant see myself storaging it when i dont wana play with it like its some orphan. its like people want to put a bathrobe on it, throw cucumbers (gently) over its buttons and take it for the weekend for a spa treatment. I'll clean the dust out of the fan once in a looong while (and theres never a lot in it) but im not gonna treat it like royalty even though it is. im sure its a tough piece of technology like its tank of a father, ps2. it'll hold out just fine.

More people should take care of their stuff like that. It's a good move. I take really good care of my electronics also and the 360 still took a dump 7 times :lol:

Shooters: Warhawk, Resistance, Rainbow Six vegas 2, call of duty 4, battlefield: bad company

racing: GRID, Motorstorm (but wait for motorstorm 2 unless you can find motorstorm for like 10$)

and try out PSN games there are some really good ones.

edit: other genres: Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank, Folklore, GTA 4 , Civilization.
