I'm with you bud. Terrible movie. It was a 30 minute movie stretched out to 2 hours. Do we really need to see a chick walk down a hallway in slow motion. The whole fricken movie was in slow motion for F's sake. Action was great, but the movie on a whole was severely over dramatized.

300 was kind of dumb. the fighting was ALL in slow motion, and they didn't end it at the battle of thermopylae. besides that and a million other things, it was a really good movie.
I'm Persian... I say that was one of the best movies I have ever seen, and I am not offended in the slightest by the portrayal of Xerxes & the crew. IT IS A MOVIE GENTLEMEN!

I agree. The plot? Go kill people, have some sex in between. Thats it. Theres no real plot twists that really make you want to watch the movie. Maybe if you are a hardcore spartan fan, or somebody that just likes to see a lot of action, you may like it. It was way too hyped up for what it was.Â

I agree about the lack of plot. However, I still loved the movie. It is what it is, a great action movie and visual spectacle.
I was surprised I enjoyed it so much as I disliked Sin City. Same graphic novelist but different directors.

I love how you guys are complaining about the plot when the real Battle of Thermopylae was even more boring. I think Frank Miller did a great job of spicing the actual event. The point of the movie was not about the plot, but rather the action, and it was hella good. If the movie was based on the actual event, there wouldn't have been a million Persians or elephants or a 30 year old Leonidas (actual Leonidas was over 50 years old and he died immediately on the third day) Enjoy the movie for what it was meant for: action and great cinematography
Im just curous.. Out oof those who hated 300.. what were you expecting when you went to the theaters to see it? For what the movie was supposed to be.. I really enjoyed it.. So many people complain about the smallest things..
seriously for those who hated 300 its called reading reviews and watching trailer to see what the movie is about lets break it down plain and simple, a action movie, based on a Greek tale, based on actual events, presented in comic form, done over the top. if any of this isn't your cup of tea in a film you should thought otherwise walking into the theatre. Plus greek tales are like that very over the top and big on action especially Spartan tales, then Frank miller took it even more over the top then the went even further in the production of the film. I thought it was great but i love greek stories and good action films. it did a better job then Troy, imo.
