I'VE HAD MY PS3 SINCE DAY ONE...IVE PURCHASED 6 GAMES SO FAR AND I'VE LIKED ALL OF EM, BUT THERES ALOT OF ISSUES IN THE GAME THAT ARE NOTICABLE AND MOST LIKELY CAN BE FIXED WITH PROBABLY A SIMPLE PATCH. NOT ONCE HAVE I STARTED A GAME AND THERES WAS AN UPDATE FOR THE GAME OR ANYTHING.  WHY IS IT THAT 360 GETS UPDATES TO FIX GAMEPLAY ISSUES, FRAMERATE ISSUES..ETC..AND PS3 ISNT. IM NOT POSTING THIS TO GET AT SONY, CUZ I DONT EVEN LIKE 360, BUT I WAS JUST WONDERING IF IM THE ONLY PERSON ASKING THIS QUESTION BECAUSE I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY BODY POST NE THING ABOUT THIS AND I WAS JUST WONDERING IF NEBODY KNOWS SOMETHING I DONT.

Game patches are up to developers. Not Sony (unless it's a Sony developed game).

Also, DON'T USE CAPS ON YOUR ENTIRE POST!

It's up to the developers to patch their crappy games, not Sony. Personally, I'd rather have games that don't require patches and are actually playable out of the box.

sorry about the caps, and u said its up to the developers, so why do they patch up 360 games and not ps3, i mean for example mlb 2k7 had bad framerate issues, so did the 360 version but they got a patch to fix those issues

Maybe its because they feel its pointless because the games are getting bad reviews so they probably feel its a waste of time to update because they feel that the game might not sell whether or not its be patched or not, because now that i think about it, since resistance is like the number 1 selling game, its the only game that i know of that got updates, maybe not in visual but in online play.

I'm not entirely sure if the system can do patches actually. On gran turismo hd, you got to download the entire game again to get a more recent version of it. With besthesda having a hard time getting downloadable content on the ps3, i think its more of a hardware structure thing which leads into patches being really difficult to get working.
