I know that Kane and Lynch got a really bad rating, but I don't listen to much reviews at all. I've watched gameplay and review video for Kane and Lynch, but I also played the demo oftimeshift (not bad)

So, what do you think is the best one to get?

I have CoD 4 and Uncharted

so, what do you think?

If you already have COD4 and Uncharted, definitely go for Timeshift of those two. Everything I've read about K&L has been pretty bad. It's not just hype. The game doesn't sound very good at all. The demo of timeshift was pretty fun, but I'm not sure I'd buy it. Probably just a rental for me. Check out Assassins Creed. I own that and have loved every minute of it.

I was thinking about picking that one up, but I have a feeling that I'll get that for Xmas.

Lets just say, i have Kane and Lynch at home, but I haven't opened it yet.

I'm just trying to figure to do.

I've got a bad feeling about that game. I love third-person shooters as much as the next guy, but not if they're just generic crap. And that one sounds like it's nothing special...you can find a better way to spend 60 bucks, I guarantee it.

You think I should return it for Assassin's Creed?

I just want something good, after playing Uncharted, I was like 'it's already over'. Is Assassin's Creed really good?

Ew Kane and Lynch, terrible imo. And not because of this Jeff stuff. I hated the game, way too clunky. Pick up Assassin's Creed instead, it's awesome.

The graphics are awesome, the atmosphere is made of win, and it's just really really fun, being a sandbox game and all.

I wanted to pick up this game, but I just needed some more info.

I'm a fan of Hitman games, so I bought this one because I felt I would get the same feeling, but I'm not sure anymore. Maybe I'll pick it up when it hits 30 dollars.

I guess I'll be picking up Assassin's Creed 2morrow and returning back Kane and Lynch.

Good idea. My friend is a huge hitman fan, and he decided to rent that game. He returned it in a few hours...

Not to mention the actual assassinations are amazing. A game like this really makes you see it from the other side, usually I'd think of the "brotherhood" as a cult but they are presented as a pretty just organization in the game. I don't know if that was Ubisoft's intention, but yeah.

I played 2 hours and returned it. When I went in the clerk asked me what was wrong with my rental. I was like, "It sucked, dude."

I would seriously think about Assassins Creed as well. The game is ok, but its just worth a rent. I got the game last week and im almost done beating it. Im going to sell it soon. I feel it has no replay value, and no, its not a sandbox game. You have a lot more freedom in a sandbox game. They give you the illusion it is, but it isnt. The game is actually pretty linear, with not much to do at all. Assassins Creed really deserves like 7.5 to about 8. And thats pushing it. I even played AC at a friends house before getting it, thinking i was sure. Im sure of one thing, its getting (s)old.

Stay with Lynch, Timeshift or get Stranglehold?

i dunno why both of them are promoting AC to u

bcas i have AC and it really sucked in MY opinion.

It's repititve and although its a sandbox, all the cities look pretty much the same( dull, brown brick walls)

but its up to you

u can wait for Unreal Tournament 3 if u want a shooter

right now i just have to decide whether i should get Unreal 3 or Drakes Fortune?

I wanted Kane and Lynch, but after everyone said how bad it was i changed my mind. Timeshift seems fun, i cant say much though since i only played the demo. Not to mention the only shooter i really like is Unreal. It comes out soon, you should just get that. Im not sure about Stranglehold either.

No doubt, bro.

I'll pick it up whenever I decide to hit the gamestores.

I usually don't go by reviews because they can be harsh or tell stuff that isn't good about the game, but in our eyes the game is great.

I remember they rated a game called "RLH" (run like hell) I got it on PS2 and they rated it so low I forgot the score. I thought that game was pretty fun, so yeah.

I heard things about Assassin's Creed, people hate it, love it or whatever, but I trust you man. I remember that I wanted this game because it look so damn good...but I'll pick it up, hopefully I won't have to flip out cash and get it as a gift.

Actually i didn't mind Kane and Lynch it was ok nothing spectacular onlien mode is fun and the single player is ok. IMO Timeshift really pissed me off, it was a lot of trial and error crap, where you get hit twice your dead, i played it a couple times with my friend and got so frystrated in the end i just escaped the damn game couldn't handle anymore lol.

Timeshift demo was pretty tight, something that I wouldn't mind playing again, but I had a hard time on picking the game at the store.

I picked up Kane and Lynch today that is why I'm asking if I should open it up and play it. It doesn't look that bad of a game, I seen gameplay on youtube and I thought some of it looked pretty good. I liked the club part were everyone was dancing, I think that part sold me cause in Hitman: Blood Money I was hooked on Mardi Gras stage that level was awesome.

BTW, I'm watching Hitman the movie online...pretty sweet.

I'll probably stick with what I got, if I don't like it..then oh well, it's not my money I spent it on. It was all the trading things in that got me this game.

if u really want info on AC

then i just tell u all the cons of it and let someone else fill in the pros of it

AC cons:

repetitive gameplay(gets super boring)
all the freezing and bugs will spoil ur PS3
long and boring conversations u cant skip

basically thegame is

(boring conver with master) -> (rides horse to another city) -> (talk to bureau leader) -> (do at least3 investigations) -> (talk to bureau leader again) -> (assassinate target) -> (make ur escape) -> (talk to bureau leader again) -> (talk to master)

repeat this 9 times and finally (WTF ending)

ok thats all my rants abt Assassin's Creed

i got no praises bout this game sosomeone else who loves this game pls tell him the pros.

Yeah, I heard the ending was kinda like that. You can't skip the talking? Oh man, I would hate it too if it was the same thing over and over.

Thanks for the cons about the game, I heard some of the pros in AC's forum and on here.

As for the person saying not to buy none of the following, I pretty much made my decision when I went to gamestop and picked up K&L:DM, so I haven't opened it like I said in my other post.

I like how you said don't get myself into it, but that's not giving me any reason not to play it. If you gave me information on why not to do it and return it, then I'll be more than happy to take your judgement into place.

Thanks once again for everyones help on which game to buy and not to get :)

Well, I just wanted to let you guys know that I opened up Kane and Lynch today. I know what everyone is thinking "Ewww, why did you buy this game?"

Well, I don't listen to reviews and I just got this game because I had alot of store credit.

First off, I thought Kane and Lynch wasn't a bad game. I really dig this game alot, sure the story seems a little on the poopish side, but I like this game.

I only had a few problems with certain parts of the game, I was on the part were you have to protect his daughter and for some DAMN reason she would always die when she clearly was ducking from the big machine. I have no clue what the heck was going one, but I passed it. I just wanted to point that out because it was on the BS side and yes, all of the F words that come out of their mouth.

Overall, I thought it's a good game. I'm still playing the game and enjoy it.

I'll pick up another game, hopefully AC.

Well, I sorta change on what I said. Story is pretty okay side, I like most of the missions on Kane and Lynch, I really thought the Dancing part was sick. After I saved my game, I just wanted to go on a rampage and kill whatever, so much fun doing that LOL

Characters were indeed cool, I like both guys alot and they seem to work out good. Gameplay is pretty fair, not the best, but it's worth playing.

I say this for sure, if your a fan of hitman games. I think you should rent it for sure, I bought it because I had a feeling that I'll enjoy the game and I'm glad I did.

Both Uncharted and CoD4 are way better than those two. That said I've played Kane and Lynch and also Timeshift. I didn't like either but at least Timeshift has an interesting time element. If you like coop play a-la Army of Two, then Kane and Lynch might be your cup of tea. If you like more, umm, FPS-y type games, go for Timeshift. Just don't expect either to have the storyline of Uncharted or the awesome multiplayer of CoD4.
