Hey guys, just played the demo of killzone 2, and i felt really dissapointed by the controls, very sluggish, had trouble aiming! I think its a shame, the graphics look amazing, i just was put off by the controls a lot :/

I baught into this game because of all the hype imo it realy isnt all that impressive in any way. The online play witch i thought was gonna be awsome turns out to be a spam fest and the framerate doesnt hold up under fire.
I finished the game on the 2nd hardest difficulty but don't see my self touching it ever again.
Well im not going to buy it, the game just felt kinda laggy, if the controls had more response and sensitivity then i might, but i have 2 admit i was starting to get bored through the demo, i think its more of a game that has good looks instead of good gameplay..
You can't really diss killzone. Given a 9.0 makes it a very good game. Controls. So what? Get used to them and its fine.
....you....that....so...ah hell. I won't even fight it.You can't really diss killzone. Given a 9.0 makes it a very good game. Controls. So what? Get used to them and its fine.

yea so. who cares why did u start a thread to tell us what you thought about a demo of a game that was released almost a year ago? if you dont like it dont play it. shut up and move on.
killzone 2 is a tech masterpiece when it comes to graphics/physics/Ai and particle effects happening on screen, I still think it's the best looking game on consoles, and the game is good but no matter how you look at it the controls are **** I adapted and got fine at playing the game but that still doesnt mean there not ****
Killzone 2 did a lot of things right that other shooters failed to do. It is my favorite shooter this generation simply because I am more interested in the atmoshphere and the multiplayer so much. The single player is okay, its a game that you either love or hate. There isnt any in between. The game has a 91 on metacritic so I suppose its widely known for a good game. The only bashers are all COD fans. Most of which some of you seem to be.
There was a patch for the retail version that added in better controls, the aiming is alot better. Not quite as good as COD but damn close. Me and my buddy both enjoy Killzone 2 more than COD now.Hey guys, just played the demo of killzone 2, and i felt really dissapointed by the controls, very sluggish, had trouble aiming! Yet you can call Uncharted 2 overrated without playing it. To TC the game isn't that special but nevertheless you can change the control layout so they match the COD games (if that's what your into) you can also adjust aiming controls in the full game. You can't really diss killzone. Given a 9.0 makes it a very good game. Controls. So what? Get used to them and its fine.

So the only people who don't like KZ2 are COD fans. I find that very hard to believe. If you look through most people say it's an ok game, with control issues and some other problems holding it back.

Lol, he didn't say that the only people who dislike KZ2 are CoD fans, he just said that that demographic seems to bash the game the most, which is kinda true.Am I the only one who thought the demo was horrible but when i bought the game it seemed way better?

Lol, he didn't say that the only people who dislike KZ2 are CoD fans, he just said that that demographic seems to bash the game the most, which is kinda true.I guess that holds some truth. I must have misread it then, i thought he was saying the only people bashing it were COD fans, which isn't true. I enjoy COD and didn't really like KZ2, just because it was so sluggish. I was a fight to get him to aim or even turn a corner. I play on full sensitivity for COD and for KZ2 even its highest setting wasn't enough to make it fluid enough.
This is all my opinion because i know there are plenty of people who love KZ, i'm just not one of them. Oh yeah and Rico didn't die, so that just made me hate it.
It's a solid game but supremely overrated. The only level in the entire campaign that I even remotely enjoyed was the one offered in the demo. I was so disappointed in this game. I took it back the moment I beat the singleplayer because after sampling the online for a few hours I could tell it was not for me.
Killzone 2 is a good game. The graphics are pretty good, but they aren't the best. I do like the feel of Killzone 2 over CoD 4, although the control scheme is a bit odd at first. CoD 4 is just a bit too twitchy for my tastes sometimes, but it does a lot of things right. Killzone 2's singleplayer was a bit of a let down for me. It was justtoo short and it kind of made the characters forgetable.Killzone had a much better overall campaign in my opinion.
Killzone 2 does have pretty good Multiplayer, but the lack of weapon diversity, and the lack of weapon attachments is really lame. The lack of a secondary fire really put me off from the game. The leveling system also just isn't as in-depth as CoD 4.
Like I said Killzone 2 is good, but it just falls a bit short of greatness.

Well, thats because your trying to play KZ2 like cod4. KZ2 you have to be more delibrate with your actions and aiming. You can't just pop and twitch around. You have to plan your movements. They did all of this to give a more of a strategic feel to the gameplay and character movement. Example : to make a quick turn while running up some steps, you have to ease up and then make your turn. To take a accurate shot down range, you have to burst off your shots, and better yet take a knee to get a accurate shot. There is recoil, unlike other games where you can waist a whole clip and your rifle don't even move lol. Also jumping over something you have to think about that 1-2 steps that you character needs to prepare for that jump. Once again you can't just hit jump like other games and go bouncing around everywhere. The percision aiming GG added really helps the controls alot, but I do perfer the way they used to be. Also GG's have bent over backwards to try to give what players want and in doing so I think they ruined the MP, compared to what it was when it first came out. And hopefully next time around they want listen so well, sometimes devs need to realise that some gamers just want every game to feel the same. And to be unique everyone isn't going to like it.
P.S. Also the classes are awesome. A good class change can change an outcome of a match pretty quickly and that adds to the strategic gameplay.

i feel like i went back in time reading this.... TURN UP THE SENSITIVITY.... change the button config to alt 2....
I was used to the controls in 10 minutes.... maybe youre just slow?
and i love the game. I'm stuck at Radec's guard in the palace on elite mode though.
the multiplayer is fun. i dont play it very often, but i have a blast when i do
