hey lol i dont need my eyes to be tested i have played more games than u will ever play right from sega genesis to ps3.

but really i find the graphics of tomb raider underworld, re5,mgs4, uncharted more realistic and artistic than killzone 2.

i personally found resident evil 5,mgs4 and uncharted graphics better

but thats my opinion)

Killzone 2 has the best graphics ever. It's the colors that bother me. They fit the style, and they look cool, but imagine Killzone 2's technology used to create environments like Uncharted.

Comparing Killzone 2 and Uncharted graphically is difficult, 2 very different artistic styles. Both can be run in 1080p. Killzone 2 is gritty and dirty while Uncharted is bright and colorful.

U need an eye exam slippy.. The graphics are definietly NOT overrated. The visuals are insane on KZ2, the only one close on your list is MSG4, which is probably the greatest overall game made period. However, Killzone beats these games in a visual sense, I hope you are playing on a large LCD screen to take advantage of KZ2, and the PS3. I have never played a game that will make me sweat and ammusemy nerves and eyes in a good way like Killzone 2, especially multiplayer..

Quick question? what are you playing Killzone 2 on? I ask that because I feel you really can not appreciate the graphic if you're not playin on an 1080 HDTV with an HDMI connection. In the event you have the HDTV w/ HDMI connection and your PS3 output on 480-1080, then you Really need your eyes check. KZ2 is the Best Looking game Ever made to date (Regarding Graphics)

Artistically, I can understand your comments. After all, art style preference is very subjective. Technically, however, Killzone 2 looks amazing. That isn't disputable.

The only thing I take issue with is people saying the game is the best looking game ever because it's not, at least in technical terms.

Best graphics on a console? I can see the argument for that.

Re5 and Uncharted, no way, don't get me wrong those are both beautiful games but KZ2 takes the cake. MGS4, very possible.

KZ2 and MGS4 are probably the most graphical games on the ps3 atm.

Killzone 2 had fantastic artistic touches/filters that dont make its graphical achievements any less special

it was cool that they were able to use simple techniques to make the visuals that much more amazing, in a technical sense they were very good, but the artistic touches took it to the next level

MGS4 also has amazing visuals, and I think people get distracted by Uncharted's pretty scenery not to say that the visuals arent amazing but the advancements made on the PS3 over the 2 years since it came out made better looking games.

All the games you listed look great but KZ2 wins hands down. And the textures you talk about aren't normally bad textures in KZ2, they are out of focus ordepth of field visiontextures ie: like going behind cover also they are normally smooth textures like real world materials and not imagination made up coil reeftextures.

I would have to say even putting mgs4 in 2nd behind KZ2 but yet mgs4 has alot worse muddy and blurry textures than KZ2. So you can't really complain about textures in KZ2 and mention mgs4 as looking better than KZ2 if that is your primary criteria.

Bottom line is that KZ2 does everything great, from textures, particle effects, animations, atmoshpheric conditions, special effects ie: smoke blowing in wind, debris from damage or explosions, blood that actually puddles up, motion blur, depth of field. KZ2 literally puts you in the enviroment and in the world. While the other games mentioned only does 1-3 things good but they are not the total package.

Crysis is better than all of those games combined.... there is none higher than Crysis right now.

But out of the games you picked, I think Killzone 2 has the most realistic graphics... that's not to say the best, or my favourite, but definitely the most convincing overall to make me think "I'm there"....

Killzone 2's strength lies in it's AI anyway for me, not necessarily it's graphics. The fearsome AI of that game made me respect the developers in a way I never thought possible.

I have been playing since Atari and DOS games...so...yea. And I honestly think Killzone 2 has the greatest graphics of any game to date. I have Crysis on PC and play 1440x900 2xAA with all settings on VERY HIGH. I think the games look very different, but I think K2 still comes out on top. There is a completely unbiased answer. Crysis looks better in some areas, such as trees and such, but that is just because the environments are so different. They are both such beautiful games, but K2's animations and characters just look so damn fluid and real. K2 feels like less of a videogame, more realistic.

MGS4 and RE5 arguablyhave better character models, but their environments arent anywhere near as good as kz2. Uncharted has an amazing artstyle, but kz2 has the better technical graphics

I think the graphics are pretty amazing but yeah, it uses an awful lot of filters. It's the lighting, shadow and filter effects that make the game so good looking. Without those I think the game would look a lot more standard... or maybe even mediocre, considering some textures are noticibly bad... but who cares anyway! The game rocks!
