this is the hardest game i have ever played in my entire life! now before the smart @ss insults begin let me first say that i beat demon souls! and it is childs play compared to this sh!t... i'm stuck in an area where there's 2 of those huge armored bastards with the tanks on there backs, there is no cover, and if that weren't enough there's hundreds of helghast fvcks blasting from all directions, not to mention there is almost no ammo available at all! i don't get it... i am only like 1 freakin hour into the game and its on normal default difficulty, wtf??? is there any possible way to beat this part? and if so how??? i have been dying at this area over and over for the past 4 freakin hours! this is impossible!!! am i doing something wrong?

I think I know where you are at. I just got past that part today (if I'm thinking the same part)

There should be mounted guns to use. Throw grenades everywhere, if you run out of ammo then kill your own team and take the ammo from their gun. There should be a small hut like building in the middle that has a LMG in it that has a lot of ammo. The cover system is kinda hard in this game. Get behind any cover and hold L2. When you want to shoot, let go of L2 then hold down L1 to zoom and shoot accurately. When need to reload or you are getting shot a lot, hold down L2 again then reload.

As for the 2 LMG fuel tank guys. Try using the mounted guns. You have to shoot their heads, or right above their heads to hit the gas tank. Soon they will turn around and fall to their knees. There is a small red tank on their lower back you need to shoot in order to kill them. It's the only way to kill them. That little red tank needs to explode.

Grenades work on them too to make them fall to their knees. Good luck.

Just wait until you fight Radec. He does some Raiden (MK9) crap and disappears then reappears right behind you.

yea thats the area... i'm stumped, u only get 3 grenades, and its impossible to focus on the armored bastards cause there's helghast guys EVERYWHERE! and most of them don't even take cover, they just run around shooting.. what makes it so irritating is there is almost no cover, the few places there are can be shot down, not to mention the helghast @ssholes just run around it and shoot you.. i'm so pissed cause the game was really fun till i got here.

It's been a long while since I played any KZ2, but I'm pretty sure I know what area you are talking about.. Isn't there a raised up area in the middle of that battlefield with a turret?

thats in the front i beleave and it doesn't help much cause your being flanked the whole fight.. there is one area with a small ladder but its also useless cause the sides are fully exposed.

Try focusing on staying back near the small hut, going from one side of the hut to the other just killing normal helghast. Get that big LMG off the get go. Kill off all the normal helghast before worrying about the big guys. If you can kill the normal helghast off then it will be easier to kill the big guys. When you get to the big guys, use the mounted LMG's. There are 2 of them, 1 on each side. This is how I got past this part.

You could try to save your grenades. Once the normal helghast are dead, throw grenades at the big guy. Once he is down, either use the LMG in the shack, or use the mounted LMG, to unload on the little red tank on their back.

yea i already used up the one u can carry, as for the helghast i assumed they respawned infinite till u beat the 2 armored guys, that helps a little cause now atleast i know u can take out all the helghast, tho i have no clue how i'm gonna do that with the 2 big boys blasting away at me.. lol

Ya, kill the normal helghast first. I don't think they infinite spawn. But just stay next to the hut, going from side to side killing helghast. Maybe save the LMG in the hut for the big guys and just use the assault rifles for the little guys. I used the mounted LMGs for the big guys. They are powerful, aim for their heads first, then their red gas tanks.

Don't be discouraged. But if you think that is hard, you will have fun trying to kill the flying robot that shoots rockets boss.

thats one of the harder areas. after you mow down a few grunts (or one of the heavies) with the mounted turret, run away to the enclosed room near the back and lie low for a little bit while taking some pot shots now and then (theres a sniper rifle on the roof if i remember correctly). the turret is great and you definitely want to use it, but it attracts a lot of attention. the only time id recommend avoiding it all together is when you get surrounded.

Dude. Wait until you get to the train. I'm being raped by 1,000 Helghasts, plus a tank that shoots off a million missiles, plus you are shooting against the wind so your bullets have less of an impact. Plus the tank has the ability to shoot any missles you shoot at it. It's a tough spot. The shotgun doesn't even do one shot kills when shooting against the wind on the train.

I loved the challenge in that game. Every other shooter feels cheap on hard while KZ2 and 3's difficulty felt refreshing. KZ3 is significantly easier though.

O man, KZ3 was cake on elite compared to KZ2 on normal. I can honestly say the only times I ever died in KZ3 was because of cheap deaths. The jetpack level for example. After you set the 2nd D-charge you have to escape. A jetpack Hig comes in you kill him. You jetpack across, then you have to cross upward again. Except this time there is a helgan waiting for you, across from you, and shooting you while your back is turned. I always die about 8 times trying to get past that part because of it's cheapness.

KZ2 is legitly hard.

Heya Shang... Yeah, there's some almighty piss-you-off moments in the game, and that's one of 'em for sure. The mounted guns are the trick, and yes there are a pantload of Helggies runnin' bat**** all over Hell & Gone... But you can do it. I'm pretty sure they're not completely endless, it's essentially a boss level. You need to shake off the henchment in order to get some dealing on the big thingies, and then there's an incoming wave again... Ristac might be correct too, ther may be a finite amount, and you haven't killed them all off yet.

Hey if a chimp like me got through it, you most certainly can. I found that the game took a lot out of me (on Normal setting), and that I had to get up and walk away after getting through little sections at a time, and I would be exhausted!

:?

Like, WTF-Exhausted. A game hasn't done that to me since "BattleToads". But that's why I loved it so much, in the end. If you're stuck, put it up for the day, shift gears, get some sleep, and go back at it when you're more fresh.

Oh, and sometimes YouTube walkthrough vids can help in a pinch too, to see how someone got through it if you're at your wit's end.

Power on through the pain.

:)

yea i was debating watching a walkthrough, but thing is its not like a puzzle or trick to figure out.. its just a swarm of @ss mongols running around trigger happy and ya gotta manage to survive, i totally agree with the *take frequent breaks* advice, yesterday i finally had to cut it off or i was gonna start beating my head against a wall.. lol i have actually never played a truly difficult fps, i'm usually golden at these games, but i'll admit this game cranks up the sh!t dial to epic levels.. can't imagine what this *Radek* boss i've heard so much about is gonna be like.

I watched Radec on Youtube. That guy is one tough MOFO. I havent got to him yet. I'm still stuck on the train. I died a couple times on the robot, I won't tell you the area to hide in while he's shooting rockets off :) (it took me a few tries to find the area to fight this guy) But ya, looking forward to Radec.

Not all FPS are created equal, as some detractors would have you think... KZ series is kinda special!

Ya, I just beat it earlier today. Radec was a d*ck. But there is a very good weapon that works wonders on him. I'll let you figure out which weapon that is :)

The KZ2 campaign is so much better than the KZ3 campaign.

Ya, I just beat it earlier today. Radec was a d*ck. But there is a very good weapon that works wonders on him. I'll let you figure out which weapon that is :)

The KZ2 campaign is so much better than the KZ3 campaign.

how did u finally get past the train area u were talking about?

I restarted the level, and got the bolt gun in the begining. I used the magnum until the hard part to save bolts. The bolt gun still has the one hit kill even going against the wind in that level. You have to kill off all the halghast first, then focus on the tank. There will be a missile launcher in that part. But the hardest part in the game is when you are fighting your way up to Radec's doorsteps. Helghast at every turn. Then when you manage to get indoors, there will be a sh*t ton of Helghast. There are rocket launcher Helghast everywhere, flamethrower Helghast everywhere, shotgunners everywhere......It's tough. And Radec likes to appear right in front of you and slice your face off with daggers. Definitely the most hardest FPS game ever. The moments before Radec and figting Radec are the hardest part in the game too. I'm not exaggerating one bit when I say that there are Helghast everywhere outside and inside Visari's palace. Anything else the the game isn't even close to being as hard as the last level in KZ2.

I clocked in at 6hrs and 59 mins. But I do plan on finding all the intel and symbols. This game is probably the most satifying FPS game I have beat.
