Killzone 2 not a system seller???

well, thats what I heard from 360 fanboys over and over again, well listen to my story

So on a completly unrelated forum that has nothing to do with electronics or gaming or anything like that, one guys posts the age old questiong "360 or ps3"

being the first to post i listed quikly the reasons why I chose the ps3, I said, the 360 is a good system with great games, but the ps3 is more reliabe has great free online, and has many promising exclusives that appeal a little more to me.

well he asks me, what exclusive are you most excited for?

so I posted some killzone 2 pics, videos and information.....

well the topic is about 3 pages long of people saying "holy crap, i want a ps3 now". and the OP said "ya, im choosing a ps3"

there was, of course people who still sayed they loved there 360, thats not what this was about, I just find it funny how some people say killzone 2 wont be a system seller when already i know atleast 3 guys on that forum are getting ps3's now.

It will be a great game, but defintly not a system seller. I think the game that will give the ps3 "system seller status" will be MGS4. Wheter people are major fans of that game or not, it has multiple features in a game that everyone can enjoy. FPS mode through the whole game, or stealth, enviornment based help, war with you in it, andan epic story.I can see this game lifting the ps3 into the light.:Dmccoyca112

for now im a 360 owner...but i'll buy a ps3 for god of war III... imo ithink gow III is gonna be a bigger and better system seller...totaldj

yeah the next god of war game is why i got a ps3. too bad it hasnt even been officially announced yet. but im definitely looking forward to killzone 2 and mgs 4. and to the person that said if u show a non fanboy killzone 2 and halo 3 side by side that they will choose KZ 2. yeah i would, only bc yes i admit the graphics in KZ 2 are better, but graphics arent everything. halo is a way more proven franchise than killzone

If marketed correctly and the developers deliver it can be. The PS3 needs a system seller NOW!Heil68

agreed... marketing will play a big role on whether KZ2 can be considered a system seller (or any other potential game for that matter). the marketing team and community advisors at Bungie are really nothing other that geniuses for how they handle the Halo name.

Killzone 2 has the potential to be a system seller. Marketing is the first step then is the game-play which will get everyone talking and actually getting the game.

oh i know i was just saying that if u showed someone that had no knowledge of either game, theyd probly choose KZ 2 only bc it looks prettier, but yeah i agree w/ u. id go w/ halo 3 all the way until i get some hands on w/ KZ 2

You people do know that Knights of the Old Republic 2: The Sith Lords (Okay, it's an xbox original game... But it's the only example I know off the top of my head) sold many system nore or less without any advertising at all?RoganSarine

the Star Wars brand is enough advertisement alone.

one of the biggest franchises in movie history + an RPG game that is actually good = how can it not sell well?
