Killzone 2 Online Lag?

Hey guys,

I am writing this because this online delay is frustrating. It seems this happened right after the 1.25 update last night. Not sure exactly what the problem is though. My computer has no torrent downloads, nothing. All I have running is my AVG Antivirus, and Zone Alarm Pro. Killzone becomes a bit laggy at times where you shoot an enemy all over his body, and he does not die what so ever, but 1 shotgun or pistol shot at you, you'll die. Honestly, this is just making me lure away from the game, knowing that I play this game everyday and it's one of my best games. Not sure what the problem is, has anyone else here in the same situation as me?

No... Um... Well At Lest me... no lag...well maybe like once and thast it... i always turn my pc off if im not using it....try that.... and i also turn off my DSL modem so it can reset...ive notice an improvement went i donwload stuff.... but no..no problem on my end.... try a internet speed test... and cheak it often...to see if it goes down...it sounds like its your internet connection....;)

mine doesnt lag...i keep getting the error though

mine lag a bit when i used wireless internet, but when i connect the cable directly there is barely any lags

This game has been lagging since day one. I shoot a dude a bunch of times on the head, he runs away from my sight... 3 seconds later I see a confirmation showing I killed him. The delay depends on the person's coneection as I would see it respond 1 to up to even 5 seconds later.

The lag is very innconsistent though. Stop denying it people, I know for a fact that each and every one of you guys who say there has been no lag at all when you're playing are lieing your @$$es off. Im currently playing the game nonstop to get the gold weekly valor trophy and the lag on the killing is pretty annoying

Yeah there are instances where I shoot a guy and he runs off and 3 seconds later the confirm appears. It's a bit weird but hey, I get the kill anyway so I guess I can't complain.

The lag also causes A LOT of stalemates to occur. Lets say you killed him first, but the network hasnt registered it yet, so the dude you killed is still moving around, with those few seconds of lag he still has a chance to kill you. So if you are going heads up with one person in a gun fight, chances are you will both end up killing each other in the end.

I occasionally experience lag on KZ2, nothing game changing usually. Bad Co. and Skate can give you some horrible lag if your internet isn't only in use by your PS3, but those are both on EA servers so what can you expect.

Mine is 100mps and I really wish it was much faster.

I rarely lag, and even then it isn't game breaking. As others have commented, there is sometimes a two second delay between shooting somebody and them going down, but i don't have issue with this. It certainly isn't as laggy as other online FPS games, where people seem to jump forward ten metres every second.

Mine rarely ever lags.

I'm aware of this, I thought you were saying that your connedtion speed is 6mps. My download rate is around 200kbps.

I was stating my connection REAL connection speed, not what my computer tells me

haha thats funny. its been a month since this thread has been created and im still seeing this death lag, kill lag, server lag, whatever you want to call it. people are still falling over 1-2 seconds late. people are still jumping backwards 1 second after i shoot them with my shotgun. i still get double kills constantly. i still die after im behind a wall trying to regenerate health.

and people are still saying this lag doesnt exist.
