Which do you prefer, and why? I'm mainly in it for multiplayer. I'm about to pick up one, or both if I'm lucky. Thanks in advance. :)

For multiplayer both games are superb,no lag no nothing.Just great superb multiplayer. But i would prefer KZ2 because it doesn't get too boring after a while like R2,KZ2 may have a weak story but it's great to play especially online. The graphics are one of the best in the PS3 and a lotta stuff to explore. R2 is quite different,it doesn't have a good solid storyline like the first game but it's still good. The thing that makes R2 awesome is online.Just like i said, superb.Trust me i have played both and own both, but i prefer Killzone 2.

I am sure i will be in the minority here, but I enjoyed R2 much more than Killzone 2. Rent both and see what you like better.

ifferent and cant realy be compared. but if your buying for online then its defently killzone since while i think resistance is much much better its nearly dead(with the exception of the very strong co-op.

Resistance 2 is a better package, the single player is weaker but you can play 2 people online in co-op (which is fantastic on superhuman) and competitive. Killzone 2 has a much better single player but some of the online games have questionable settings (no predetermined settings through standard matchmaking). But either way you are getting better games than CoD.

Just to let you know, there's a sticky for this. And Killzone 2's campaign is better but Resistance 2's 60 player multiplay pwns Killzone 2's MP. Plus the co-op is great.

If you're used to a more conventional controls, then go for Resistance 2, but if you hate pumping a whole round of bullets into an enemy to kill them, then go with Killzone 2.

If you're more about character driven narrative and plot, then I would go with Resistance 2. Nathan Hale is more likeable and character driven than Sev (Killzone 2). KZ2's story is pretty cliche, but it isn't terrible by any means. I like both games a lot, but I just feel more for Nathan Hale's character than Sev's. Graphics would easily have to go to KZ2 though, but R2 isn't so bad either. If you can afford both games, go for it. Each are around $20-30. I would get both if you can!

I've gotten 176 hours of gameplay out of R2. They're both good games with a fantastic campaign. Killzone 2 has a better competitive mode, and Resistance 2 has an awesome online coop mode.

I thought Killzone 2 was fantastic, my favorite FPS game I've ever played. Resistance 2 isn't bad and online is very fun but if I had to pick, it'd be Killzone 2. :)

Okay, thank you everyone! I've decided to pick up both after trying out R2's multiplayer at a friend's house... it was sick. I've played KZ 2 and loved it, so why not just break down and get both?

Also... sorry about 3 threads. I posted 2 for 2 different games, realized my mistake, so tried to consolidate by making a third one that combined both. It kind of failed. :D

Anyway, thanks all, I appreciate it! I hope I have lots of fun with both. See yall online. :)
