Ok I am thinking of getting KZ2 soon after I get my PS3, but I have a question first. If you removed the multiplayer section of KZ2 and only had the singleplayer left. Would it still be worth buying KZ2? I ask because I couldn't care less about the multiplayer part of KZ2, I want a good solid long singleplayer FPS. I have enough multiplayer games that I really don't care if I never got another multiplayer game the rest of this gen. So is KZ2's singleplayer long and worth it?

I bought KZ2 exclusivley for Single Player and it kicks. A ton of replay value because you can jump into whatever section of the game you want after you beat it, plus there is Skirmish mode if you want to play a sort of offline multiplayer match against bots. Not as fun but still fun.

since you put it that way, no it isn't worth it imo. if you plan on only playing the sp, then rent it. $60 for a 6-7 hour campaign, no matter how intense, just isn't worth it imo

Be advised, the single player is only about 5 hours long. (and that's how long it took me on my FIRST playthrough, imagine if I did it again knowing exactly what to do)

There's good replay value if you want to try the trophy challenges, but if you don't care about that, then no...it's not worth it.

Thanks guys (and girls if any here). Seems like I should just let this game sit on the shelf and not buy it. I skipped Call of Duty 4 for this same reason (short singleplayer).

If your looking for a real challenge, try Killzone 2 on elite. That will take a week probably.

I will just borrow it from a friend to play through the singleplayer part and return it to him.

Making a game hard to finish is just a cheap way of extenting the length. Thanks but no thanks. I shouldn't have to play a game on it's hardest setting in order for the singleplayer to be long.

oh ok, then do that. again i think the campaign is worth at least one playthrough. It's short, but epic. Intense firefights, smart AI, powerful weapons (you'll love the lightning gun

That's the thing. You shouldn't need to play it on harder settings in order to get more playtime out of it. It should be made with a long singleplayer from the start at any setting.

The single player is VERY good but way too short. I don't think I would buy it if it was just for the single player - maybe consider renting it until you beat it.

First of all, I'd like to say that once you start playing Killzone 2, you will care about the multiplayer. Also, the storyline is pretty weak, but the campaign is intense, fun and pretty long for an FPS. I enjoyed it a lot.

TC is crazy... you skipped COD4? go buy it right now, it is hands down the best game this gen! even without the multi player!!! i think i enjoy single much more than multiplayer! the ending is epic!!! just crazy! and the flashback sniper level is awesome! its just a great game... and i would also say that like the last 5 levels of killzone are pretty awesome too! non stop action... just get both... i dont understand why you would have a PS3 and be thinking about skipping KZ2 and COD4

I skipped Call of Duty 4 because of the singleplayer. I am a PC gamer that is getting a PS3. Now do you understand just how easy it is for me to skip FPS games on the PS3? And if I did get Call of Duty 4, it would be for the PC, not the PS3. All multiplat FPS will be bought on PC, not the PS3. I am not interested in a PS3 for FPS. If that was the case, then I wouldn't get a PS3 and would just stick to PC.

No I didn't buy it for PC. Just saying if I did buy it, it would be for PC. I don't plan on buying Call of Duty 4 until it is $20 or less.
