killzone 2 start up writing is going 3d then freezing!!!

i put in the game and load it up and it gets to the first screen of writing then the text goes 3d and the game freezes and i have to un plug the ps3 to turn it off.

when i say 3d i mean the text now has 2 shadows 1 red and 1 blue. the ps button doesnt work the game doesnt unfreeze after a few mins and even the power button wont turn it off. i have to hit the swich to turn it off. it just beeps twice like it usually does when it freezes but then doesnt turn back on.

is this normal or is killzone goin 3d but there is no firmware for it?

That sounds awfully smoked...Can't say that I have ever experienced anything like that....

Try deleting your game data for KZ2 (not your saved games) and reinstalling. I have had no such problems under the new firmware.
