Killzone 2 what would you rate it in your opinion?

I know there are hundreds of post like this but I need a more up too date one. Hare's the thing I bought warhawk late February and since then I haven't really played anything else.Now I am about too make rank(command Sargent) and that is most likely the last rank up I will get for a while. OK now I decided too get killzone 2, since I am going too basic training next month. I just wanted too know is it worth it, I mean should I spend 60 dollars on this game? I played the demo and loved it but this will most likely be the last game I buy for 3-4 months so I can't make a mistake. I already looked at gameplay videos and review sites, I just need some player opinion. Thanks for all the help.

I would rate the game a 9.0 max. Killzone 2 is a very good FPS with an extremely shiny coat of paint on top. It doesn't do anything new or revolutionary; instead it executes all of the facets of a modern day FPS well.

I really enjoyed the single player campaign. It wasn't as good as COD4's, but it was still very, very good. I thought the story was pretty good for an FPS.

I'm with the group of people that don't like the multiplayer very much. Maybe it hasn't grown on me yet...but that's my personal opinion.

I can't justify giving this game any higher than a 9.0 or lower than an 8.5 though....if it had co-op, which isn't happening, I'd bump it up like 0.3 points. A very good game with absolutely mind blowing graphics and sound though. IF you loved the demo, you'll probably love the game.

I would give it a 9 or 9.5. Wait to, decide between fight night, inFAMOUS, arkham asylum, ufc. The game itself is great, but the multiplayer ranks you up much faster than call of duty. But, definetly rent it.

10/10 the only complaints I have with it is that the single player campaign was too short and the lack of offline multiplayer and Co-Op.

I considered the cover system fairly revolutionary, I've never played a FPS that with a cover system before.

it's a fun game online, you know, if it doesn't disconnect me all the time.

i would give killzone 2 a 9.2 i know the first game sucked but i was a fan of the story and part 2 is amazing graphics 9.7 gameplay 9.0(after patch) to compare with cod 4 (not the graphics) online play with cod 4 online felt more like a real war than killzone 2 online (not much online just got 100% campaign) but killzone 2 campaign felt more like a war than cod 4 online and campaign

I would give it a very solid 9/10.

It does almost all aspects that make FPS game very well with unique first person cover system that is very much enjoyable in single player.

Graphics are absolutely stunning, especially in middle and later levels. One particular visual effect - lightning - is superb. Definitely the best visual FPS game on the consoles at this time.

Online is well design and gameplay is a mix of COD4/Team Fortress 2, (two of my previous favorite FPS) with their own badges/medals and class system that you gain more until you eventually get to general.

Servers are rock solid, of course Sony first party.

I finished the campaign twice by now and have around 45 hours separately with online only and it's still fresh and enjoyable. Different classes always keep things from boring for me.

Action is fast and brutal most of the time but with specific classes you have quite a few options.

First DLC is up on April 30th so yeah, the game is doing great.

If you're looking for First Person Shooter on PS3 that will last you for quite some time and does all things that made previous FPS games done well - Killzone 2 is a safe buy. ;)

It's easily one of my favourite PS3 games.

Despite many countless reviews and user opinions of the game Killzone 2. Overall, it is a spectacular game for this generation.

Personally, I find the graphics top notch. Though, it lacked a quality story like the magnum opus of Metal Gear Solid 4 and a wider range of conventional weapons.

I would give it an 8.5. With online co-op, though, my score would have jumped to a 9. A huge opportunity missed there, in my opinion, and given the overwhelming amount of people asking for it, I know I'm not alone.

Well, that's been the great debate since the demo was release, so I would say try it out for yourself.

9.0 does the trick.

Short but very fun campaign +Great multiplayer + Great Graphics + Great Gameplay = Great Game

All of these great ratings, and yet only 1 million PS3 owners in the world, out of 20 million, bothered to get the game. And to answer the question re: the "heaviness" of the controls: it works, adjust the sensitivity to your liking and it plays just fine. Mountain out of a mole hill issue IMO.beekayjay

1. That's not the reason. PlayStation as a 10 year old franchise was never a First Person Shooter console. PS3 has capabilities to run games like Killzone however that's going towards American market anyway.

We already have very diverse genres to chose from, PlayStation was always about JRPG's that's the trademark (which is on a slow start on PS3).

2. It's been a month... I don't understand how 1 million sold games in on month is bad in any way.. Ask the same question after each month, it will keep selling so i honestly don't understand the problem with sales. Majority of the games never dream of reaching 500.000 copies.

Release a game like Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest or Final Fantasy with good story, intriguing gameplay and long play hours and watch the copies fly of the shelves for PS3.

Don't forget that PlayStation is a Japanese console, it's a different audience.

Shooters will never reach HALO sales numbers on PS3 because it's not the money market. Games like Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Gran Turismo, Kingdom Hearts, Dragon Quest are.

Valkyria Chronicles is one of the best Exclusives on PS3 at this time in my opinion, White Knight Chronicles and Demon Soul's are selling phenomenal.

Those type of games is what I want for PS3. Those are the games that will always sell on PS3 since myself, like many others, have grown fond of PS and PS2 era, have you played Xenogears, Lunar: The complete story, Vagrant story, Chrono Trigger? All of those games are different genre then Killzone 2, however I wouldn't even think twice which one to chose. ;)

id give it a 9 out of 10 games short but the multiplayer is great
