Probably not. I mean, part of me wants to be a jerk and download it just so that someone else can't get it, but that's kind of spiteful and childish and doesn't really tell Sony that I think their service sucks.
I was going to, but I actually have plans for most of today so I don't know if I'll be one of the first 5000 to get it. If I don't it's not a big deal though.

I thought the beta was just available to all plus subscribers? I didn't know they were limiting to 5000 people, that sucks. Means that it'll be a bunch of kids dling the beta and they wont provide any input to the dev as to what needs to be changed.
I just downloaded my KZ3 Beta Theme but it wasnt under the PS Plus tab, i went to view all under ABC order. It was under Killzone 3 tab. I was like the 1,232 person to rate it so hopefully I got in! :(
I was the 250th or so to rate it, hopefully that means I was within the first 5000 to download :).

I know this is a dumb question but I have never been a participant in a beta before and was wondering when we might find out if we made it and how we will be notified? Thanks I am a recently converted xbox guy and this would be my first beta.AdamRiggs4
If you were one the first 5000 to download you'll get an email with a beta key in it on the 25th. Type it into the redeem code option on PS store.

Actually, we have to download the KZ3 theme. If you're one of the 5,000 then you get an email with the beta key.

From what I read somewhere, I heard SCEE got 10,000 instead of 5,000
That was probably the story on this site. GS had their info wrong... surprising, I know.:P But, it's 10,000 total... 5,000 for Europe and 5,000 for US. I'm hoping after a month or so with this semi-public beta they'll open a full beta to all PS+ members.
Hopefully it can fix a few of the major problems I found with my travels throughout Killzone 2 e.g. * The useless iron sights aiming * The rocket launchers and grenades at the choke points * I would also like to have the option to customize your character, if the makers of this game don't include this option then it's going to be a rental for me, as I can allways just play Halo Reach.
