Killzone 2 had some pretty long loading times which was alright back when it came out to prove how good PS3 games can look. But Killzone 3 really needs an install or something, multiplayer load times near 30-50 seconds for me. Game lost of some its visual distinction from Killzone 2, GG had a really bad grain filter, the game looks better but certain visuals from Killzone 2 are also lost. Don't know why the Helghast have so much German influence from WW II, will not elaborate on due to spoilers. Will say this, the members of Helghast elite don't resemble what I've though of the Helghast. The menu's in Killzone 3 are designed very very poorly, red, white fuzzy text that's double. They still haven't really come up a wide range of weapons for the universe, added sliencers to weapons that have no effect, sliencers sound just as loud as the regular guns. They are so noticable from the other guns because they make that "pppuu, ppppuu" sound.

As for your visual complaints, are you running a HD tv, menus are fine, the helghast elite...why dont you try designing some and see if we want that, I thought they looked fine, "GG had a really bad grain filter"

I don't really agree with you, but you should write a review. Hey that rhymes. :)

It's inferior in every way I agree. Multiplayer went from being unique to COD in space, the graphics even took a down grade technically. They went from 32 players online to 24 I believe is the max cap and the levels are no where as big as southern hills.

Unless you are talking about something I don't know, I'd say thats debatable. I prefer mlaa to qaa.

I disagree about the graphics, and the campaign I thought was significantly better. Multi-player is a mixed bag. But I really don't like a few of the maps, and I wish it had server browser like KZ2.

Yeah I'm on a HDTV, the grain filter in this game is too much. Play the game and pause it and go up to the screen to see the filter, easily noticeable then. As for the Helghast Elite, they had the right idea in Killzone 2, keep them a mystery. The characters themselves are fine, it's the portrayal of nazi germany in them I noticed from a mile away. I actually would have liked to see the consul member as puppeteers of the Helghast people and the two main generals or chairman, but at a weak, helpless state. I'm not going to write it all, but I think I could have done a better job with the story and voice talent they had. The mystery, fear the helghast hold was not realized in this game, likely the last killzone for the PS3.

I have to agree. I actually thought the graphics were better in some areas but a lot of the textures in the environment looked worse in my opinion. The menu in KZ3 is beyond boring. but none of the KZ games have had decent looking menus. The multiplayer feels more typical and all over the place. The multiplayer doesn't feel as balanced because of the upgradable perks. Something about KZ3 just felt unfinished, not as polished as KZ2 in my opinion. Still both are good games in their own right. But neither of those games are great in my opinion.

I actually liked the fact that in KZ 3, you didn't need to load 20 bullets in someone for them to die.

It's debatable, but I personally like KZ3 better.

I thought KZ2 was mediocre at best. And I agree with TC. KZ3 was a step down from that. I didn't play single player though, since I did not purchase the game. Just played at a friends house. So I can't comment on that.

I prefer KZ3 for two reasons: the Sharpshooter and 3D. With these two features, it's easily the most immersive game I've played this generation.

I've tried to play KZ, KZ2 and KZ3 but I just can't get on with any of them, the weapons just feel kind of plastic and ineffective. It's a shame because I really want to like it :P

Yeah Killzone 2 was a far better game. I did enjoy the Killzone 3 single player, but the multiplayer was a huge let down. They sold out to more casual shooter fans instead of keep the series original. Changes made to the tactician, marksman, and infiltrator noobed up the game and basically made it a total frustration for me.

I personally thought that Killzone 2 was overrated and did not enjoy the campaign or multiplayer very much. So therefore I did not play Killzone 3.
