Killzone on Ps3

I was jsut wondering cna Killzone(PS2) be played on PS3. I assumed it could, but the guy at eb agmes said theres a list of PS2 and PS1 games that can't be played on the PS3.

Also he said that theres a Killzone game scheduled for Augest. It called Killzone, is it a possible remake because i doutbt he sequal would make it in Augest. Sorry this may be a dumb question. Has anything beeen said about a Killzoen remake.

killzone was made by Sony. It would've been embarassing if the PS3 couldn't play it. BTW it looks a lot better on HDTV and PS3 upscaling.
