KillZone one was not a Flop...

There seems to be alot of negativity and misunderstanding surrounding KZ1 which seems to have been past on to KZ2, the main thing being that it was a flop. For those of us who remember, even the critics agreed the KZ1 wasn't a bust and that the game had a ton of potential.They also agreed that thing that was holding KZ back was the PS2 hardware was somewhat outdated and that maybe on a future console it could be a AAA tittle.

What are you thoughts (FOR THOSE WHO REMEMBER)??

I remember being kinda pissed off when I was playing multiplayer but I don't think I delved into the single player. Maybe I should relook it up since my hollywood video has it for sale.sa10kun

lol..I should have been more specific...the storymode got mixed review but the multiplayer rightfully got SLAMMMED!!! lol

Killzone 2 is amazing while stil holding on to the core game of Killzone 1

Killzone 1 was amazing, the story really had be gripped, i thouroughly enjoyed K1...and the Killzone theme is epic lol IMO

I agree with you slightly, Killzone held onto alot of things in common with Black, the reload annimations etc, the detail on the guns.

But

Killzone 2 is truely amazing...which now raises a new question...whats Black 2 gonna be like?

Only time will tell on Killzone 2 .. I have yet to hear anything on Black 2 .. although that would be amazing .. one of my favourite FPS of all time .. :)

The game was ugly to look at, had a boring story, offered NOTHING new to FPS games, and was riddled with technical issues like clipping, anti alaising, pop in, freezing and texture tearing ..thegame1980

Killzone 2 is coming out in 09, and the Beta for it is already under way .. it's a big issue for PS3  owners .. I'm too busy with the better FPS Resistance 2 ..

i remember it having lots of glitches and bugs, but looking really nice. The sound design sucked (all but the killzone theme), and the general gameplay was not that great either. To me it was a flop, if i didn't know that sony had put alot of money into the sequel and bought a whole new team of devs. I would be thinkin why the hell would you make a sequel to this?

Boring story and lack of depth has NOTHING to do with hardware. Even without the hardware trouble the game was bland.

There ARE better shooters out there just PS3 fanboys have little else to rant about so they pin hteir hopes on games that are exclusive so they can wave their fanboy flags high.
