Hey peeps, i've been on the fence for this game for quite some time now and i'm currently thinking on getting it since it's on a huge discount right now on PS Store. After reading some reviews and watching some Youtube videos i'm still not 100% sold on the game yet, so i just wanted to hear a few more opinions(if you'd be so kind) before i make a desicion. I'm a sucker for sci-fi shooters but haven't played any of the previous entries of the series. So, is it worth it? Is it a good starting point for the series?

Thx in advance for any replies.

if you can pick it up for a fiver, why not, even if its bad it wont have cost u much.

I personally havent played it, simply because I didnt like KZ3 that much and I know this one was quite different but it was a very early PS4 game and I avoided some of those.

I've played Killzone since the PS2 era, I like the franchise and have all the games, KZSF is not as good as KZ2 but still, if you get it with a good discount then why not ? I bet you have made some regretable and more expensive purchases.

Pretty average game...i can tell you that there's so many better FPS games...but again if it's so cheap so maybe yes go for it.

I forget where this game even fits as far as the overall story goes but if I remember right it doesn't feature any previous major characters and takes place in a much different time. At any rate, I never found myself too interested in the plot. Anyway, I think it's a solid shooter if you're just looking for something in that sort of setting with some pretty decent gameplay. Nothing remarkable but not something I regret spending time with.

I honestly cannot recommend it, as it is glitchy, even when patched.

Worst glitch is that you can actually drop into places in the map where there is no way out. You are stuck, and thus you have to load up previous save, and then replay the section, this time avoiding the place where you got stuck in the map...

Very tedious.

Also, the battle system is too fiddly, with the alarms and stuff.

I really loved Killzone 2 and 3 on PS3. They were good enough to justfify the purchase of PS3. And so, Shadowfall was really big disappointment in comparison. It has great story, and good visuals, but those glitches...
