There is a chance that KillZone will be playable at E3 and we are most likely to get a demo or Beta version of KillZone by then.
KillZone will be the top show for Sony this E3 and probably will steal the thunder.

i would hope it would be playable, E3 is in what? July??

"we've been holding back on is Killzone, so it's a good reason for you to come to E3, because we'll have some updates on that."
Unfortunately, methinks it will be an update only:cry:
I think they are being a lot smarter this time around, they seem to be keeping the hype down a little, but you also have to keep in mind that it's ultimately we the fans that control the hype meter, and I think a lot of us are cautious this time. I am anyway. I mean I enjoyed the first game quite a bit, but before they launched that game, it was billed from the start as "HALO killer" and the best shooter ever made kind of billing, and when it got done, it was really just a little better than average shooter, and it got laughed out of the building, it didn't even sell that well if memory serves or atleast not compared to what was hoped for it.
Sony burned themselves, and this game too, by all that overhyped talk of the Graphics and all that prerendered crap they put out a couple years ago and promised it was real in engine footage, when very little of any of that run of games was. People are kind of taking a wait and see approach to this game. I know I am. I want this game to be incredible, and everything that it can be, but I'm not falling for Sony's BS again, show me something real and make the game what it can be.
It would be nice to see a demo shown at E3 this year, and it would be great to see the game launch later this year, but I'm not so sure either will happen. Sony and the PS3 need a blockbuster game to come out later this year, and with MGS 4 maybe not shipping this year, it may have to fall to Killzone, but I think more than anything, Sony needs a "REAL" blockbuster game, that delivers on graphics, physics, and most importantly gameplay and depth, and not one that Sony just says has all that stuff, if that means it takes longer before we see any more info, a demo, or the game itself, I am at peace with that.

To bad no one can go to E3 anymore or it might be a valid point. I thought they were releasing a demo though so at least we can try it before we buy it.
a chance is not definitive (like your topic title is trying to say).
it's still as unsure as it was before (though chances are there will be info)
[QUOTE="DayLightBreak"]I thought e3 was dead.
can anyone explain it to me?
R-Dot-Yung
E3 is now a much smaller Buisness meeting during July where the big 3 still have press conferences but the show is downsized and its not entertainment anymore, no huge displays or anything like that, its a time for the devs to show the press what they have intimitley
E4-All takes place in October and is open to the public to come play all the games coming out that Holiday season
yo R dot can i borrow dat sig da 1 dat says

One: Sony never hyped KZ as a Halo killer. That was pure media and gaming community hype.I think they are being a lot smarter this time around, they seem to be keeping the hype down a little, but you also have to keep in mind that it's ultimately we the fans that control the hype meter, and I think a lot of us are cautious this time. Two: Memory doesn't serve you right because KZ sold roughly 2 million copies world wide (Europe loved it, especially those polish gamers) The gaming community have fallen in love with the gloom and doom thing and exaggerate a lot nowadays. One would really think Sony is filling for bankruptcy as we speak.
Three: For 2005, the vid clip looked jaw dropping. Now? it looks normal, well done but nothing that's impossible to do in the least. Especially seeing games that haven't had the kind of production time or resources it's had.
If you're looking for KZ2 to be the greatest FPS ever then you got issues but those that loved the first KZ (which are a lot) will definitely love this one and now that people know that this game in no way resembles halo or tries to be like halo in anyway, maybe people will put down their halo coloured glasses and just enjoy the game for what it is - a blast os an experience.

Agreed, I really think that Killzone 2 will b really good. They've had a lot of time 2 work on the game and before they weren't owned by Sony, but now they are so they have better inside knowledge and tools, more time, WAY more money and better hardware this game has some great parts 2 be epic and amazing.

I had almost forgoten about till a few days ago, when i found it again on Gamespot. :?
here's the scenario, Sony MUST deliver with this game. If the game looks as good or close to the OMG trailer, then it won't be a big story except for ps3 owners and fans. However, if this game isnt even close to it, then stop the presses sony f'd up!!! then get ready for another hate-a-thon on sony. g4 will go crazy on them. simply put sony live up to the hype please!McnabbsPHIeagleAgain, One: Sony doesn't NEED this game to to survive. It's library of genres is just too vast to hang their coats on one game (that's MSs thing) They would have to do badly on every genre.. multiple times to be in any kind of trouble.
Two: Even if the game looks and plays 1000 times better than the E3 trailer box "fanatics" and certain media outlets will still render it crap and not worthy of a 2.9 rating no matter what. So this game is for the people who appreciated the first one and those that are ready to enjoy the KZ universe.
I really don't give a * what anyone thinks about the final product. If anyone liked/loved the first one they'll most certainly love the 2nd one.
Chubear700, you been saying that KillZone will bring nothing new to the table and Sony don't need this game to survive. However, they are spending over $25 million in production and over 150 people working on the game, Sony better bet their money off that this game need to survive. I believe this going to be one of Sony biggest title of all time, ever since this game became a big secrecy.
Dillie said that "Killzone 2 will form a major part of the company's offering at this year's E3.
And then the one we've been holding back on is Killzone, so it's a good reason for you to come to E3, because we'll have some updates on that. By all means, you need to save something to keep people interested."
We been seeing other game play and whole lot of videos on major titles like Heavenly Sword, LAIR, Warhawk, NaughtyDog, MGS4, etc.. But we haven't seen anything of KillZone... that why I think KillZone will be big this year E3. That the only game missing since E305. So expect it to be very Big.
