A. Nomura CONFIRMED his last Ps2 game was Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix + B. Kingdom Hearts 3 is currently planned to be released around 2010 or 2011, when the Ps2 era will be quite dead.
i think its kinda dumb that they broke the series into 3 diff platforms. the ds psp and mobile (even though i dont think the mobile has much to do with the storyline). im a huge fan of kingdom hearts and idont have a psp or ds, so i wont understand the storyline of kh3.

Did you understand the plot of KH2? If you did, then you'll be fine for KH3. Remember the spin off for the GBA, Chain of Memories? That introduced a lot of new characters and story elements but didn't hurt anyone who didn't play it when KH2 came out.
Personally, I'm looking forward to the handheld spin offs.

It was stated that it wont be labled as "Kingdom Hearts 3" because it's heading a whole new direction. There has been no ps3 Kingdom hearts offically stated as a working title or such.

Im not sure 358/2 is gonna be that good. I mean I get Roxas already hes a Nobody yada yada yada but what about Mickey! Hes too kool for Skool and deserves his own game instead of Roxas. Roxas got 1-2 hours of gameplay and mickey at random intervals

i hope they do use the same characters cos i've been following the story and i would hate it if the likes of sora, kairi, and riku were left out of KH3....

Yeah, but usually the people asking these questions just came across KH casually on the PS2, liked it, and wanted to know if another was coming out; not having a clue what BbS or 358/2 are.
