standard dvd on a HDTV is noticably better then standard dvd on a SDTV. Bluray is a huge jump over dvd on sdtv. the jump from Dvd on hdtv to bluray on HDTV is not as noticeable, but still is better as evidenced by an A and B comparison.

Yo next time someone has one of these BS questions try this. You don't have HDTV or a BluRay or a PS3 or whatever, you wanna know how an HD DVD or BluRay film looks on HD TV. SIMPLE, YOU GOT A COMPUTER OR LAPTOP! I'm assuming you got one cause how else are you typing this stupid question to begin with. Go to Apple HD or go to WMV HD website and download a movie clip in 720p or 1080p and then play it on your PC or Laptop display (ALL PC and Laptop displays are at least in 720p) Now look at the HD Clip on your PC and there's the answer to your question. This should be a sticky, if I had a dime everytime someone asked how a HD movie looks in HD compared compared to DVD I'd be a millionair.

Have this movie. Looks awesome. So much of the first part is in dreary England with grey skies and snow. You can pick out each snowflake.

Yeah, the word is that Kingdom of Heaven is one of the best blu-rays available, if not the best.

Too bad the movie itself bored me. The visuals were awesome. It started off well and there were pockets of intrigue, but in general I I fast-forwarded some scenes. I wanted to finish it to wach my battelstar galactica season 1 discs, because contrary to my pre-conceptions that is a good show!
