I would say konami not coming strait out saying it's just for ps3 is a bad sign, It sux but the 360 will get this game as well, a timed exclusive for ps3 is still good though bigLLL

They have come out and stated it Kojima himself has stated on his Blog cast that it's only PS3 but for some reason most seem to doubt him including you it seems.

I don't know why you people keep talking about it exclusive or not sites keep making rumors about it, As far as I know Kojima doesn't like mutiplatform his games, MGS2 substance was Konami decision and the game flopped.

Bs: Even if it is not exclusive and comes out a year later which will probably 2009,it won't effect the ps3 sales unless the come out this E3 and announce a port which I doubt.

Why can't some people just accept the fact that this game might be PS3 exclusive? I don't see PS3 fans crying for Gears of War, Halo 3 or Mass Effect.

Mass Effect and Gears Of War are third party but both games are published by Microsoft which makes them 100% sure to be 360 exclusive, and Halo3 is first party game so hell will freeze before we see it on PS3. While MGS4 is not published by Sony, neither it is financed by Sony in any way that is why there are so many rumors about it and not about those 3 titles you mentioned.

I personally think MGS4 is timed exclusive and that Kojima is not going to work on port for 360. Someone else will do it and "port" will suck big time. PS3 will get "elite" version of game, 360 will get left overs.

I didn't forget that, i was just making a point. As far as i noticed PS3 fans don't give a d*mn about the other systems games, they are happy with what they have. Other fans, on the other hand, seem like they are not happy with what they have and want MGS4 at all cost.

Yeah, the fanboys don't even have an interest in it, they just want it for the 360 so PS3 loses it's biggest exclusive.

Actually PS3 fans spent months hating on Gears of War and Halo 3 after Resistance released. I will agree with you on the 360 fanboys mostly wanting MGS4 for ownage though. For me the big game is going to be FF13 and Versus. I don't even really like MGS but I doubt it is going to be ported to 360.

i really doubt this game will end up on 360 1. cause the size of the game by the time it comes out will be more than standard dvds can handle and mulity dics games are a thing of the past. 2 i really dont think 360 is the game atmosphere that this game is for. the ps3 is all about these games like FF . think about the ps2 history untouchables111

Do you people really think that Konami will ask for permission from Kojima if they can port or not? It is obvious that Kojima does not wish for MGS4 to go multi platform  but Konami wants more money and MGS4 will most likely be timed exclusive. i personally don't want this to happened but.......

MGS4 will stay PS3 exclusive in my opinion. MGS4 will sell millions thats a guarantee, it will also move alot of PS3 consoles. heck I'm getting a PS3 because of MGS4.

Just out of curiousity, do we not want the other side to get MGS4 because:

a) we want people to buy a PS3 for this game;

b) we take it as a sign of Sony's failure;

c) we just don't want fanboys rubbing this is our face

While not being directly financed by Sony, remember that Sony pictures IS picking up production and distribution (via Columbia) duties on the MGS movie. I'm sure that might help keep it on the PS3. Remember, just because a movie based on a big-name game COULD come out, doesn't mean anyone will help pay for it. Cough*Halo Movie*Cough

The thing here is that MGS 4 was supposed to be released this year, or to the maximum, at march 2008, which is not that far. You have more than 10 mill 360 sold, and over a bit than 2 mill PS3s. How much PS3s will be sold for MGS 4 to make a profit. Also note than not all PS owners buy MGS4. Halo 2 sold a bit over 7 mill units, and there are 25 million xbox units. That means 30% of xbox owners have Halo, which is THE SAVIOR AND THE MOST FAMOUS GAME of xbox If there were no halo, i am pretty sure there wouldn't be a 360 now. Same here. MGS 2 sold for the PS2 5 million units, and there are 100 million PS2 oweners. That is 5 % of the PS2 owners have an MGS game. And MGS isn't the best selling game on the PS2. How much do you think will MGS 4 sell when it is released? I don't think it will sell 1 million copies to the end of the year 2008. That is a BIG BLOW for Konami, especially for a very highly anticipated game. And highly budgeted too. So the reason the game MIGHT, and I repeat, MIGHT, be released on the 360 is to boost sales of the game which it most definitely will. the multiple disc thing would probably not appeal to anyone. and the fact that there are almost no MGS fans on the 360 fanbase they are on the playstation brand so even if it does come out it would have so many disadvantages it woulndt een be appealing.

I am a big metal gear fan and i dont have a PS3, nor I intend to buy one since it doesn't have good games for now. I am very happy with my 360 and I am enjoying all kind of good games with it. If MGS 4 is released on the 360, I bet it will sell more on the 360 than the PS3. Even if the game is multi DVDs, you are still paying the same price. So what does it matter?

Definitely not. Buy a console for 1 game? MGS 4 is not worth 660$. (Console + Game). But my friend has a PS3 and I go play it at his place, if he paid for it.
