I've rarely heard anything bad about Sony's customer service with the PS3. Ya there's been a few bad stories out there but the vast majority has been fairly positive. And lets face it the PS3 just doesn't up and die like the 360 does maybe the new chips will help but i dunno.
I've never had to call CS before. I hope i never have to. Here's a 360 story. My friend owned one and he said that it started making a weird whining noise.. and then sparked and blew up.. mm. i do not know if its true but i thought it was funny.
I had to call them last week (had some video issues with my PS3 and TV, but got it figured out). I honestly abhore talking to any kind of phone tech support or customer support. However, the lady I talked to was very nice and I would have no problem calling them back if a problem were ever to arise in the future. At least by my experience, it seems they do have good customer support. :)
