kratos is a cornball i pick sephiroth hes the man, best bad guy in a game and i hate final fantasy generally. hate god of war with a passion. dante and solid snake are still the real bad a$$es on sony systems.

Gotta go with the man who killed a god. Plus his blades of chaos(or are they Athena's blades now?) and their masterful range. Sephy gotta long sword, but he only has one. He'd fall to Kratos like so many others...

Kratos is the God of War, he beat the undisputed champ of the universe (Aries) like he was a little girl.  his new competition, whoever he may be was not formerly the god of war, so Kratos will live to see another day.  his competition is toast, literally.

I have to be honest and say that I never played GOW, but I have played FF VII, Kingdom Hearts I & II, and seen FF VII:AC and have to put my bets on Sephiroth. :)

I don't know who Kratos is but I do know Sephiroth is one of the most overrated things in video games so I'd go with Kratos

Kratos. I know Seph held the title of "man to beat" for years, then Dante came along...but we know about that debate. But Kratos defeated a GOD. Sephiroth can defeat Cloud WHENEVER HE WANTS TO. Thing about this is (coughfakefightcloudandomnislashcoughadventchildrencough) he never had the chance. Anyway, Kratos.

Kratos is not an actual god, however even the gods in god of war can be killed (Ares).  So it wouldn't matter.

Hell, if we're tossing in names, Xena killed all the Greek Gods. :P Krate-toss wouldn't have a chance. Sephiroth would kill Xena.

Only the young folks who never actually played FF VII would say that Krate-toss would have an easy victory. Sephiroth can end all human existance on the planet, or just destroy it. Hell, I don't thing Krate-toss could take down Sesshomaru either.
