I get paid this Wednesday and have been on the fence since I read about it in gameinformer. I still can't decide if I wanna spend the $64.95 to pick this up, I have read reviews and read what you guys have to say about it and, for some reason I can't come to any clear conclusions.

So maybe if I just list off the games I am into and the ones I am playing, maybe you guys can direct me closer to it or further away:

-Fallout 3 and New Vegas

-Uncharted series

-Dead Space series

- I am a Rockstar fan and love everything they make, although this is developed by Team Bondi

-I have Heavy Rain and loved it, I am currently on my second playthrough with the move sticks now

-Killzone series, currently the dominemt FPS for me. Although I am a Former COD player (dont play anymore, dont get me started)

I have more games but feel these would relate more to LA Noire, since I hear it has elements that can be compared to these games. Shooting, cinematics, and decision making. Well honestly what do you think, should I give this game a shot ? thanks in advance

It's by all means a great game, little action (so don't expect a GTA), brilliant story and city. However, it has very little replay value, or at least from my point of view. If you're going for platinum trophy then maybe it's worth those 65 bucks, if not I'd say either rent it or wait for price drop.

thanks alot, I have seen some youtube footage and I know it looks great and plays great. But I have heard that the game can become repetitive and stagnate in a way. Just want a game that will have me genuinely intrigued and invested in the story, instead of a game that feels like a chore like Assassins Creed did.

possibly, the worst game I have played since GTAIV. The interrogation system is horse ****, it doesn't make any sense, even if you manage to complete a case you will probably not get the right killer, the whole game is unsatisfying... seriously, ****ing horrible game

Then you probably should avoid it for the time being :P

I got it on day 1, played it for around 10 hours and had to take a break (almost platinumed DAII in that break) and now I'm back to it and hopefully will finish it. Sadly, I don't see it as a game which you can play continuously, it does get repetitive but the repetition breaks eventually due to story. Definitely not as repetitive as Assassin's Creed 1 though.

It requires an extremely slow pace, where you have to stop, read and think. None of the games that you listed have that, as far as I know. Not even Heavy Rain. Generally it's not a game for impatient teenagers haha. I suggest you grab an old cheap game for the time being, and wait for InFamous 2 (if you're interested) or for a price drop for LA Noire.

Wow, you sound really disappointed sorry about that. Still some games I like are not the most popular and some have received low scores on this very website Enslaved and SWFU II for example. I am wondering if this is one of those games that is not for some people, like you will either like it or not.

Infamous never grabbed me, since I am looking for a game to play over my summer Vakay I was thinking of replaying Oblivion or LA Noire. But I am not a teenager or impatient, I enjoy mindless games but also am drawn to games that require brains to play. Hopefully when the store returns they will release a demo, that would probably be the strongest deciding factor.

The interrogation system is fine. You just don't understand the game or you can't figure out what the clues mean. Calling it what you have because you're crap at it is just ridiculous. Yes, it can be unforgiving, but it isn't the games fault if you pick the wrong option. You don't have to get every question right to progress and you can replay any mission at any time by selecting it at the main menu. TC, Noire is different to anything we've ever played, so there will be people who don't get along with it. It's a change. Some people don't like change. It's new and it takes them time to figure it out. They're too used to understanding everything before they even insert the disc for the first time. I think you owe it to yourself to at least try it. It's not often that an original game of this quality comes along. Whether you do or don't, or buy it now or what for a price drop, is totally up to you.

I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it; however, I doubt it will last you through your summer vacation. As I said, it's a great game and everyone should at least give it a try. But yeah, waiting for a demo sounds like a good idea indeed.

Seriously, I am wanting to get interested in this game I have never been so unsure about a game before it's weird. I follow every game I own since announcement and sure have been disappointed before, but am usually satisfied. Think your right, this game is so new without anything to compare it to that its hard to tell how its going to be. Also, it seems that players responses are so inconsistent that it makes relying on them difficult. I just really hate it when I buy a game only to find that I absolutely hate it, really trying to avoid that.

My friend was expecting this to be like GTA IV but I explained to him you can't go around killing civilians etc. This is a great game imo. It's different than most games and I feel that's what makes it special. I suggest you give it a rent if you can.

Sorry to change the topic, but why do you hate GTA IV? It seems to be highly regarded.

As for the TC, from the list of games you named, it seems you would like this game. I haven't played it myself but I like those games as well and I'm very interested in L.A. Noire.
