First of all DSL can definately cause lag. A Lot of it too. Secondly, I have a good cable connection and madden lags for me as well(may be the other players dsl or what not). I believe EA just has terrible servers and don't care to fix the problem.
naa not just ea, every online game suffers from lag, i play winning eleven 9 online (konami) some players lag on purpose, to win matches, they just turn on their pc and there it goes the lag, some times they just have a crappy conn, i have 1024 conn so i dont think i lag, but sometimes people tell me i do...others tell me its perfect, so who knows :S
I thought it was just me? I experience very little lag during madden 07 for the ps2 but a lot of lag playing the ps3 version. Not all ea games are laggy fight night 3 doesn't have any lag. I thought maybe my problem was because I've got cable internet I was thinking about switching to dsl.
It's really, really bad. I won't buy another EA game until they fix the on-line. I feel like I wasted $65.00 on this POS game because of the on-line problem.
I have hi-speed DSL. I have played many, many games on-line with the same set-up and Madden 07 / PS3 servers suck so bad its a waste of time to even try. Good luck.

What? Not sure you know what the hell you are talking about with that statement. Are you telling me that way more than half the population has a problem because they are using DSL? Hahaha! thats funny!

i had lag playing this game even playing OFFLINE, although i guess that would be referred to as slow-down. I hate how the frame rate bogged down during play calling and the transitions during the game. This game is definitely not next gen. Pretty much garbage. Take a $20 loss and sell it for $40 on amazon.

DSL is terrible compared to cable connection. This isn' even worth talking about or arguing. Believe what you want. Dsl is worthless to those of us who know better.
I have played a few games with no lag at all and have had a couple with lag but nothing to serious and it normally doesn't last for long. Most often it happened at the beginning of a game.
