they have cancelled my order, why has everyone who has contacted them recieved replies saying the price is right?

i don't know how it works in the UK, but here in the states thats called "fales Advertisement" and by law they have to sell it to you at the price they displayed.

i dont understand, because for days now, everyone who purchased them have been recieving emails saying the price is correct and you wont pay no more than you paid. etc etc

now i check my inbox and i see 2 cancellation emails.

im absolutly furious, one more customer lost i think.

edit: sorry, i changed the topic title just a 'little bit', its late at night and im tired and for some reason 'amazing' entered my mind why typing instead of amazon. ^lol

Well never mind the fact they always use disclaimers to cover that, even then, that's not how that law works, if a product is found to be advertised at a price that differes from the actualy price it's your duty to inform them, if after 'due time' they still haven't altered the price correctly then they have to sell it to you, but the act is written so dubiously it would never hold up in a legal situation.

why tell all their customers that the price is correct aswell, and thats the price we all pay.

to me, this tells me its not a mistake in the price. (infact i think it even says its not a mistake in the price)

yet, suddenly, this happens.... i think its a simple fact that too many people have ordered it, so nobody gets it now. I think this is totally wrong and should not be allowed.

hey! there's a lot of people coming here :

why not tell them we think it's unlawful to retract the order and they have to tell us what section of the law authorizes them to do it, of course they can't find it so they have to fulfil the order! (might have to do a special topic for that)

i just the the same email i placed the order the other day all ok then the email come saying they had make a mistake

this is very bad service from amazon they should sell it at the price we got when the order was placed

i use amazon all the time but now i will find somewhere else maybe play.com i dont know much about them

Topic name is wrong. And the fact that they put the wrong price, well, they did a mistake. It happens, they couldn't sell at that price, new titles that are about to release.

No, sorry, but not true. Companies have the right to cancel your order---just look at the fine print every time you order something online. There are some companies who will still honor your purchase, but for the most part, they do have the right to cancel your order.
