Lair EGM SCORE

If it really scored such a low score where is the scans of the mag. to prove it.

Plus who is EGM I have never even used their reviews to help me decide a game purchase I use Gamespot, Game Informer, or IGN.

Sorry buds until I see the scans and here the reviews from the sources I trust I wont bother with this EGM stuff.

Not saying it was you but I haven't seen anyone complain there are no scans or links to Play Mags 9/10 score

its sad that people are actually mad about this review. 3 well known game journalists did not find the game to be great. deal with it.

This does not bother me it's just I can understand why people start all these rumors online not saying this is one of them because maybe it did get a low score.....but i just think if you are going to post something put some scans or something.

I guess we will find out soon enough about what kind of score this game will get.

unlike this forum, their editors actually check their boards once in a while. they would have locked it if it was a lie.

i can't believe people are still doubting this.

I would really like to know why EGM's score matter so much. They have never been brought up before for any other game. Why now? Why for Lair? EGM gave bad scores to great games in the past yet it was never brought up for any of those games.darkagent0019

Game Informer isn't even qualified to wipe EGM's butt let alone write a good review.

The score by play mag is not being refuted because it is confirmed through metacritic and gamerankings. Those sights don't post review scores from rumors on message boards.

well guys it if it's true is not that bad....I mean play gave it a 9 and gampro gave it a 3.75 out of 5....

So 2 are good and one is average....you cant win them all.

I'd like to wait and see what G4 has to say on this game, they seem to be the best source to find a definite ratingGenodude

EGM is a big magazine company. If they score it low, not many will buy it. This will affect the PS3. Let's wait and see how other's scores it like Gamespot and IGN.MaximumD

1UP is full of 360 fanboys and Wii at some extent. Like for example no one ever bashes Wii, what ever they do is you know innovative and cute even if it looks like something from 5 years ago. Like Mario Soccer or what ever out scored Blue Dragon and Lair!? How unrealistic is that?

Shane is big Sony defender and in a way Ryan O'Donnell are two only guys there that at least don't try to put down PS3.

After that 15 minute MGS4 premiere there were 2 blogs from 1up stuff where they tried to put down MGS4 and make it less worth.Which i found pathetic, journalists should do that.

Basically 90% of the stuff on any major site wants to see PS3 fail just so they can say "See i told you PS3 was expensive and not worth it".

1UP is biggest Xbox 360 fanboy site, even more so than this one.

IGN seems to like Sony more than other sites and GameTrailers bonus round host defends PS3.

Actually EGM is usually pretty right on with their reviews!! Sometimes I have to disagree with them, but most of the time they are right. I have been reading EGM since 1989!! They are problably one of the oldest most recognized game mags ever!! They are usually non-biased unlike psm etc. So what they say problably is true, but they have been wrong in the past... but it is all a matter of opinion, they are not gods, so if you like lair buy it.. me personally, I will listen to EGM and rent it!!

All I have to say is if the complaint is all about "motion controls" then they should be rating Wii games the same.

I've always been concerned with the lack of options to play the game Lair....if they would have allowed normal controls as an option it would have been much easier to rate this game (my guess). Either way, if EGM scores it low because of having to use the motion controls so be it. But if they are scoring Wii games highly then I'm honestly not going to pay attention to the review because that means they just have a bias against the console.

Also, how the hell do they have a review in a national magazine yet? I'm confused, they haven't played the last build of the game but they are willing to rate the game? I thought from what everyone was saying graphics have even been upgraded since the last build they were showing. Why is it out of the question to have tweaks in the control scheme? This is why I"m going to be looking at gamespot and IGN to see what their opinion is of the retail version of the game. Hopefully it's not a complete flop because this game should be good for the time and money they have invested in it.

Transformers The Game, I almost bought that, until it was reviewed here on gamespot. I'm glad I paid attention, I will wait for the review here for Lair, and if it's really that bad, I will rent it first.

Consumers. Consumers in general look at the rating to base their choice. Many good games that received bad scores did badly because of that. And most of the times those bad scores are due to the stupidity of the reiviewer who does not understood the controller, as with what was said in the EGM review sort of teaser that is on the EGM forums, saying that the control was hard to get, yet, people that play t on the Comic Con say that once you understand the controller the game is great.

alright... so the average gamer might not pick the game up. that still does not affect you.

and please do not bring up the whole "sales will go down, publishers won't support the PS3, and teh PS3 will fail so i can't play my games" argument. honestly, GS is the only site that has users (not necessarily you, kenshinhimura1... i'm talking in general) care so much about sales, profits, and their affect on a machine's future. it's rather disturbing.

I know I did lol. Too short, little gameplay, but was sweet to be able to destoy everything, and n the PS2 it looks sweet (unless you plain 15 cm from the screen)

I was not speaking for the PS3 only, I was referring to Blue Dragon too. Its devs who may not support any console at all who worries me, not who supports who.

I don't understand how if the EGM review is valid Factor5, a developer who's never really made a bad game, with almost 3 years of development and the full support of SCEA could make stupid mistakes like having bad control and camera problems. It's just shameful.espoac

many people have said that the controls take some time to get used to, but when you do get used to them, then the game is great. Maybe EGM used their first impression on the control scheme and just didn't get used to it.

but then again, the game isn't for everybody. some people are not going to like this type of game. big deal. people don't like MGS, but does that mean that MGS4 is going to suck? no.

no, its real--EGM confirmed it. I just think soe=mething is weird, though about those low scores. If you read GS's and Ign's E3 07 coverage of Lair, they were praising the game for graphics, gameplay, and tons of other stuff! I dont get it . . .
