yeah, i mean its easy to tell how repepitive an entire game is after seeing only a few minutes worth of gameplay footage :roll:. what kind of games are you into? all games basically come down to doing the same thing over and over. think about it. its probly best to wait for the game to come out before you start calling it repetitive
thats a stupid comment to make because you have only seen trailers and its based on flying dragons thats how you play, would you call any FPS shooter repetitive because all you do is shoot. so until you play the game don't make conclusions just from trailers and small clips of gameplay.

Repetitive? Like shooting people over and over? Continually running to cover and shooting from behind it? Driving cars in circles? Button mashing to kill people with swords/chains/nunchuks?
Please, name a game that isn't repetitive, if you consider Lair repetitive. A game like GTA might get around the "repetitive" label, but almost every other game consists of doing the same thing over and over with a few minor twists to keep it from completely stagnating. You fail @ trolling.
What i get out of it is its going to be like rogue leader. That game all you did was fly around and do missions. Good thing is it was far from repetative. It lasted me a good month or two because i wanted to unlock all the different ships, there were different ways to do each mission.
Lair will be like that but ALOT bigger, more ways to do missions, and alot more diversity in the missions.
PS you know that mission where it shows the dragons assulting that giant head light house thing, well does that remind you of that mission in rouge leader where you have to rescue the POW's but first you have to get through the astroid field. Idk why but it reminds me of it, that mission ruled.

Rogue Squadron on the Gamecube wasa good game and all you did was fly around shooting stuff. The Ace Combat series has been great. This game is better in that you are flying a thinking creature that actually reacts to what is occuring around it. Repetitive? I don't think so. Â

I concur, if you haven't played the game then how can you tell its repetitive. From what I have read about it, it seems to be the opposite with a rich storyline and backstory.Â

I know, was actually meant as a bad joke (and it turned out that way. I WIN!) but HELL yeah, the chance to fly around on a dragon, smashing other dudes on dragons. then kill them, and land on a platoon of whimpy little dudes and burn their hat's off. is one of the coolest things im going to do this year.

gameplay vids sometimes are a good showing a game in its prime and you think it looks ok and when you rent/buy you love it and other times it can go the other way round might think it looks great and then you play it and dislike it

Did I said it has a horrible story? I just said it needs a gd story, cuz not many game of its kind has a gd story.... god...Actually the story seems like it'll be pretty good. The director at Factor 5 has said that they've taken cues from the war in Iraq , the war on terror and 9-11. Basically you'll realize halfway through the game that the society you've been fighting for is really the unjust and malevolent force in the war. Also the game starts with a "9-11" moment, where the side which at the onset is belived to be evil attacks one of your cities. Later you learn that your society has been depriving the other of resorces and land in a time of climate change caused by volcanic erruptions, basically because they follow a different religion. It seems really interesting, let's hope it's executed well.
Honestly, nearly every game that is made is repetitive....look at halo, but it sells...its about if its fun rather than what it looks....motorstorm is repetitive....all you do is race...but its fun as hell.
i agree with everyone else about halo and motor storm being repetitive but fun, when you think about it it dousent realy look that repetitive, games like city crisi are repetitive!(a reli crap game by the way)
the graphics of lair look great and it looks awsome, tho its not gonna compare the littlest bit to games like mgs4 and ff13 looks great too

I guess for a few reasons. 1. It's a flight game by Factor 5. 2. It's a game where you fly dragons. 3. It doesn't look like the garbage that all other dargon games are. Panzer Dragoon excluded. 4. Being able to go from flying to running on the ground looks to work very well from the movies. I could be wrong though. 5. Huge incredible boss fights. All in all it just looks like a very fun game to me.
