Ok i am kind of stuck here, the last PS update has corruped my HDD in my PS3.

It goes to restore it, restores ok, and reboots, then it needs to do it again. Its been doing this for around half an hour now....does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this.

Without changing the HDD, or im going to loose all my saves, including my god of war and ff 12 saves as i only played them on my ps3 :(

If it comes to it i will change it, but as a last resort. I hate loosing game saves.....

Did you turn off your PS3, or lose power while the update was installing? This is the only way you could have corrupted your PS3 while installing the update.

nope ^^ i watched it all install. after it had finished i went out for a bit. came home, and blam. wont work.
it started up fine, and then i went to play god of war 2.

It froze on load so i thought nothing of it, reset the system, then i had the corrupt hdd.

wee i got it fixed, i have a new ps3 coming to my door for this thursday :D

i must say, 10 mins on the phone, no solution, they just said right a new one will be at your house by thursday. I was well impressed :) and comes with an entire new warrenty.

They only take the console, no controllers or anything else.
