No it'll probably just be anecdotal evidence for the next few weekstry calling your local circuit cities and best buys and asking them how many units have been selling or if they're sold out.
it's been number 1 on amazon for almost a week, so they will definitely be better than they have been. but, we'll probably have to wait till next month when we find out about the NPD numbers from july
After going to 2 gamestops the clerks did not see any difference in sells. Best buy actually has a mountain of them but not sure how many moved there. I know amazon is doing good because you get a 6th movie, remote and most people do not have to pay taxes. I think even with a price drop things should go back to normal (ps3's collecting dust) in a few weeks. I was going to buy one but price cuts do not make great games and I know I would get tired of it quickly and regret my purchase. But hay, it's got a blu-ray player so you can watch your movies over and over and over again.

I'm anxious to find out last week's sales as well, vgcharts.com has weekly sales figures for NA that they update every sat. but their site hasn't been updated yet.

Games are coming this year. And you're downplaying all the great 3rd party games. yes they're coming to both but that, along with the games that are exclusive coming this year-Uncharted, Lair, Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank, etc-make for a great holiday season. THEN....after you've played the heck outta all those games, you have the big three to look forward to.
