Launch PS3

Just wondering if anyone has a day 1 launch PS3 (such as myself) still going strong? Do not know if I am just lucky or what however every PS I have owned has been a launch system and I have never had to call Sony for repair, is this the norm or am I the exception to the rule?

I've had mine since launch and no problems so far aside from some minor freezing. Im happy I got mine at launch, it seems all the newer ones are the ones having problems.

My 60Gb Launch system is still running strong and always will ..

60gb launch going strong still. No problems, nothing what so ever.

my 60GB is still running... I bought it used back in 2007 but it's a december 2006 model.

I got 2 at launch(one for my bros.), and they are both still working just like new. I have 4 bros. so we got another 60GB about a yea later, and it's still going strong. My dad got one for himself as well, but his actually broke. He never sent it in though. I might see if I can fix myself sometime because the warranty has long been expired.

I still have my launch PS3 and he seems to be handling himself pretty well. I have never had any problems with it....yet.

I have 2 60 gig models, both bought around 3 months after launch and have not had a single problem from either one.

I still have a launch 60 gig that I turned into a 500 gig and its running like a champ.

Have a 20 gig that's still going

i have one, and it is still going strong, although the sound cuts out sometimes when i switch my tv screens to my ps3 (although i think thats a tv/hdmi cable problem) but all and all i dont see any signs of it shutting down. mah babeh

It's not a launch PS3 (as in standing in line to get one of the first few batches of the console's production), but it's an early-produced 60GB.

My good ole 60 gig system is still running like a champ. I haven't turned it off in over two years now and have never had a problem.

Launch 60g got in dec. 06... Will only let me play for an hour then freeze... then wont read the disk.... so yeah it sucks

I also got mine whit no prob since it was relesed :]

Mine was a UK launch console, went strong for just over a year... then got the YLOD on day MGS4 was released, i was halfway through the game, and the disc got stuck inside. I do have a new PS3 which replaced my old PS3:)
