I'm not exactly the most creative person, I don't think I'm gonna dive right into the custom design, I'm really looking forward to the online, and I know there are always gonna people who'll make levels and we can see a new custom map as often as every week, maybe even more frequently than that.

I know I'll customize my character and dress him/her up however I want but making a unique fun and somewhat complex level that appeals to more than just myself isa little more difficult, I'll definitely mess around with the tools provided but I don't think that's what I'll like most about the game.

What about you guys? Do you guys have any ideas as to what kind of level you want to see or design yourself?

Lol im quite creative, im already thinking designs in my head and will most likely make a gritty street type looking level. This is definately going to beat any sidescrooling platformer, i always wanted to do this with mario3.

i have a ton of ideas that will appeal to the different gamers, the more know type of levels like in Mario where there's dangers and stuff. also some levels that will require puzzles and stuff like that. but i'll also be making some of them in the fashion to show just how creative you can get with the tools and just make something for the different people to explore and all the different things you can do to interact with level.

It'd be interesting to see a recreation of a mario level done all LBP style. l8bit i think is actually doing the tmnt overworld for ut3.

I know I will after I get used to the Mechanics and Interface, It's going to be level designing galore. This is the game that sold me a PS3 during last years CES, I saw a preview for it on G4 and POW, I was sold.

I'll probably play around with some ideas when I pick up the game, mainly for my rl friends to play, but I'll obviously upload them online if it's not too much trouble

I will make a Master Chief sock boy. And then I will make him run though that level of Mario 3 with all the wooden tanks. I'm really sad this got delayed so far, but it looks like it will be totally worth it.

I'm getting this game for sure. & of course I'm gonna design custom levels! That's like asking someone who bought UT3 if they're gonna shoot someone. what i've seen looks pretty cool& I'm easily amused so even if it's not that great of a game, I could still have fun with all the possibilities.

If you don't, you're kind of missing the point. This is what playing hours of Halo or Smackdown does to gamers. Think outside of the box a little. That's sort of what LBP is about. Those of you already saying "I'm not that creative" or "maybe I'll do 1 or 2" are the ones that really need to try their hand at something that is actively creative. You are already limiting yourself before you've even given level design a shot! I'm sure every one of you will end up surprising yourself at how imaginative you can be.

I agree. BUT some also say stuff like "i'm not that creative but i'll try it" well. that's a good thing. try it and then keep working on making more and more stuff and in the end you'll end up with a ton of great results.

i am definitely going to tinker around with the level design feature. i'll probably start by recreating levels in some famous 2D game levels (Super Mario Bros, Sonic, Donkey Kong Country, etc), and then go on to create original content from there.

i also can't wait to create costumes for my Sackboy.

you can't make them look like it 100% but you can make something similar(spell?) and make levels that gives you the feel of old-school games like those games. (wich is what i'm also gonna do) but there are so many things to do. i'm really hooked on this. lol :D

i'm gonna try recreating the first level of Super Mario, i can't wait to delve into the level creator, i loved in games like timesplitters (even though they barely let you make a solid level because of the capacity meter) where you could create your own levels. and i'm looking forward to flooding the net with some of my cool levels and ideas in LBp.

No, im probly not going to go too deep in creating levels. I might try it but i wont spends lots of time with it. If im paying for a game, i shouldnt have to make the levels. Isnt that the whole reason we pay for games, for someone else to make the levels?

Not in my world no. i'm loving the idea of them putting levels in from the start, and when you're done with them you can make your own and put them online and others can play them. and you can get rewards for completing someones level and stuff.

I'm probably going to make a few themed levels like Star Wars, DBZ, etc. The VGATrailer got me thinking of a Pirates of the Carribean themed level and now I wish we could add Background Music to our levels, lol.

But yeah, aside from that, I'll probably create a bunch of complex levels and I'll get my inspiration from many hours of Portal and sugar filled items ^,^
