LBP is going to be the next BIG game after MGS4

not any game could be called the next big thing if it didn't have a history like MGS, FF, GOW etc.. most games that are being praised as the next big things are games that are overhyped and most of them end up being flops or not as good as someone would've thought. For instance, GTAIV, Haze, DMC4 etc...

not any game could be called the next big thing if it didn't have a history like MGS, FF, GOW etc.. most games that are being praised as the next big things are games that are overhyped and most of them end up being flops or not as good as someone would've thought. First of all the last game that I thought was going to big was Haze and look at what type of crapshoot that turned out to be. I think the next big non sequel, however still part of a franchise, is StarWars Force Unleashed, but if that turns out to be a crapshoot just like Haze then yes GOW3 will be the next one.

I have to say that GTA 4 was a disappointment for me but the ratings and the sales numbers show that the game did not "flop".

A flop is a label for a game like HAZE. Overhyped, low-rated, horrible sales #'s.

I never said GTAIV was a flop. In the paragraph I wrote I clearly stated the following:

"most games that are being praised as the next big things are games that are overhyped and most of them end up being flops or not as good as someone would've thought"

I'm hoping Fallout 3 and/or Far Cry 2 are huge!

LBP will probably just be a niche kind of game along the lines of Disgea series - which I play and enjoy.

I just can't see myself buying LBP. Not my cup O' tea. :o

i didnt mean there will be somethin huge between now and launch of lbp. i just ment it might not be the biggest thing out there when some of the other tittles are out.

From the preview in Qore this could be one awesome and creative game. Keep your eye on this one.FlashCharge

Uk owners have taken note that to get Nariko they need to order the game through Play.com and to get Kratos they need the next issue of Official Playstation magazine available on Sept 30th right?
