Yeah, we shouldn't have to pay for additional content. I mean, I know I like working for free, so why shouldn't Sony and MM?
See the point? Developers don't work so they can please you. Sony doesn't pay those developers to work just to please you. What is wrong for paying a hard working company a small bit of money to get additional and optional content?
It isn't milking the consumer to charge for extras. Sony and MM don't work for free, neither do you, neither do I, or anyone else. We all work to make money. It's that simple.
Why do you think Sony and MM should work their asses off to give you stuff for free? Really, I'd like to know your thought process here.
Here's how it is: You paid money for LBP, and that's that. Your transaction was finished when you paid the money, received a game and left the store. Any additional content should come at a price.
You don't like it? Tough, that's how life and business works, and using terms like "back to their old tricks" and "milking the consumers" is, frankly, absurd. As is the notion that you should receive additional content for free.nyc05
Or you can look at a company like Criterion Games who made Burnout Paradise for 2 consoles, sold it at $39.99 at launch if I'm not mistaken and already released 3 extra packs for the PS3 (2 for 360) all for free and plans on releasing another 4 packs spring 09 for, what look like, free at this point. And these packs require some committment from the programmers at Criterion Games.
Either way, either argument works but from a consumer stand point, when there are companies delivering free DLC, it almost makes it seem like only GH and RB should make you pay due to licensing fees for the music.
